You guys ever just blow a dead draw
So I offered a draw to my opponent. I knew I just had to keep shuffling and for some reason in a split second I moved my king here and almost threw my phone. I literally can't explain at all what happened. I had plenty of time and I honestly don't know why I did this in 1 second. So dumb

Is that actually a draw? Being down a pawn in a king and pawn endgame is usually pretty bad

Day 2 Vegas National Open
I played in a blitz tournament and got a near perfect score with 8.5/9 to clinch first place

That's insane, I do so bad in otb blitz. Last time I had a 100% white win rate and 0% black

Masters classical tournament
I recently got my national rating to above 1900, so I'm playing in the masters section of a tournament for the first time. There's 2 GMs, 5 IMs, 3 FMs, 1 CM and 1 WIM. I'm the lowest seed so there was a 50% chance I get a bye, and sadly I did. So tomorrow there's a very high chance that I'm playing a titled player.

This has gone very well aside from hanging my knight last game lol

The reason you're holding up against these 17-1800s could be psychological, you go into every game as the underdog and play more cautiously and fear losing less since they're higher rated

Round 6
After a win and a draw yesterday, I won a pretty nice rook and queen endgame today against a 1900. I'm now on 3.5/6 heading into the final round.
