@Justin Davito yep classical over the board rating
Your opponent mouse slips...
He blunders a full queen. Then offers you a draw... What do you do?

This game was a bit sloppy but I just beat back to back former 2000 elo players to reach my new high of 1820 Check out this #chess game: DewiCinta09 vs HopewellChessNB - https://www.chess.com/live/game/146643247136

way to go!!!!
OTB?
Hey everyone my rapid peak is around 1100 (though my games swing all over the place lol). I’m wondering if training or playing more over-the-board actually helps with getting more consistent. Anyone here do OTB stuff or have meetups? Kinda curious what the experience is like.

OTB for me is the best way to improve i’ve played tons of over the board tournaments and when i got into online chess my rating shot up.

@Tanner Olson tournaments probably helped the most because of the seriousness and a requirement to focus for them

@Nevin Godin-Martin yeah i’d say that’s pretty helpful i wish i had that kind of success with either opening both white and black are pretty much the same for me
