🎃 Trick or Treat Heist: Gain 5+ New RELEVANT Members by Monday
trick or treat, but the candy is new members. crews of 3-4 ppl. you go door to door through each other's communities and beyond, leaving comments worth reading. 🎯 goal: 5+ new members each, 15+ per crew, by Monday 12pm Israel time. people don't join a community because you asked them to. they join because you said something useful under someone else's post, and they clicked your name to see who you are. that's the heist. but it's not the real prize. the real prize is learning to build WITH people instead of next to them. most community builders go it alone. the ones who grow faster have a few people who show up in their threads, send them members, and swap notes on what's working. this weekend you find out who those people are for you. pick your crew like you'll keep them don't grab the first three names. look for people who: - serve a similar audience to yours, but don't sell the same thing - are at a similar stage, so the swap goes both ways - actually post and reply in here, not just lurk === THE RULES 1. get a crew - form your own crew of 3-4 in the comments below and give it a name. - no crew? comment "solo" and i'll help you find one. 2.write down your starting number - check your member count today. your crew's starting number is all your counts added up. 3.go door to door - start with your crewmates' communities. comment on their posts. - then go beyond: first, check the Vault (i am updating it today), then find other RELEVANT Skool communities - anywhere your people already hang out. 4.leave a treat, not a flyer - a treat is an answer - an example from your own community, your story, your experience, your case study - a flyer is "great post, check out my community." no links in comments. no DM blasts. 5.report back by Monday, 19th Oct, 12pm Israel time, drop in this thread: - starting count, ending count, new members - your biggest insight from the Heist - what made the biggest difference - one thing your crew is doing together next (optional)

Solo. I help founder moms protect their business and revenue through every season of motherhood, wherever they’re starting from. I have Step 1 and 2 of my SUSTAIN Method coming out Tuesday and our Coffee Chat next Friday. It would be a great time for new members to come in.
🚨 SKOOL UPDATE: Keywords Removed
if you check your settings, and go to Discovery tab, you will notice that it is different + keywords are GONE. hope you have them written down somewhere else, outside Skool. people noticed and asked in Skoolers. Sam commented below... hm, it would have been nice to share this in Skool News before removing them, or am i asking for too much?! rhythorical question... anyway, now you do need to focus on: - your community name - short description - about page text to include keywords so that the big smart algo pick them up and use them for search. good old SEO rules.

I decided to check mine. I added burnout to help with the algorithm and attract more women to my about page. With the word “burnout”, I was 2nd or 3rd. Now I am 11th. It does make a difference to which group is seen first. The other words were women in business that I don’t have on my about page since I have female founders, which is also female entrepreneurs. These keywords were set up when my Business Coach set up my Skool Community. Yes, it would have been nice that it was mentioned in Skool news before making the change so we can adapt before the change.
Skool DM Automation: Great in Theory, Terrible in Practice
i will never use automated DM sequences on Skool. here's a real example of why. lots of Skool tools now offer DM sequences. and the pitch makes sense. - it saves time. - keeps a line open with every member. - keeps your community top of mind. great in theory. terrible in execution. at least in everything i've seen. this morning i got a DM from someone who's a member of my community. i'm also a member of theirs. two days ago we chatted about them being in my community and booking a call. and then, i receive a message this morning. it was a friendly. something along the lines of: glad you're in the community, just popping in to say hi. before anyone reads this as a callout. it isn't. the person is great. the message, on its own, is great. BUT we talked two days ago. so a "just popping in to say hi" makes no sense. and the moment i read it, i suspected it was automated. the next message sounded scripted too. by then it didn't matter what it said. that's what Skool DM automation costs you. a good message, sent at the wrong moment, to someone who already in communication with you. WHAT TO DO INSTEAD i understand, sending DMs is a lot of work/time/effort. hence, do this instead: - have a library of DM templates for different situations. new member, went quiet, booked a call, no-show. - have a system - easy way - to track where each person is in their journey in your community. so you know which template fits before you hit send. - add personality. a voice note instead of text. a short video. short on time? even a gif beats a paragraph that reads like a bot. these are my fav gifs to follow up with ppl i talked before. DO NOT STEAL THEM ☢️ !!!! templates save the time. tracking keeps the context. the personal bit is you. ➡️ so what's your take on auto DMs, from both ends - sending and receiving them ?

I have started less of my manual DMs as I have a Hobby Account. I was sending 4 within 7 days to get the new member on a call. The first message is customizable depending on the answer of a question when the person joins. I still send the first message. When I go to a Pro Plan, I won’t turn on automatic DMs. For my email messages, I do have those automated for a new Community Member. If I have talked to the person before they joined, I will let them know they will receive these emails as part of joining the Community to help them with the lessons of my mini course. That being said, I maybe changing the last sequence of emails, but haven’t yet.

If you joined this community, you’re not a consumer. You’re an action taker. Most people talk about building a community. You decided to build one. 👉🏻 So first things first: TAKE ACTION! STEP 1. Introduce yourself in the comments here: - Who you are - The outcome you want in 30 days - Your current stage (idea / validating / building / live) . PLS USE the poll or in the comment STEP 2. Do NOT Launch Yet (If You Haven’t) If you haven’t created your Skool community, pause. Action does not mean rushing. Start with Day 1 inside the Classroom and move in order. Clarity → Launch. STEP 3. Questions so far? Post them here or as a separate post in the Q&A category. Or in the relevant step. Public questions help everyone move faster. The rules are simple: - There are no stupid questions - The only stupid questions are those not asked No silent observers here. You joined because you want results. Let’s begin.

Hi I'm Robyn. I am currently working full-time as an Accountant while I working on my Building my Skool Community and Coaching business. I am located in Alberta, Canada near Edmonton. I am an older Mom of 2 young kids. I help female founders going through life disruptions without losing business momentum. I also offer Create Your Future® Sessions, which the 1st sessions is added as free as part of my Beta Offer that is available to the first 5 clients. - The outcome you want in 30 days: I am in another 100 members in 30 days challenge, but each strategy doesn't work for me due to working full-time while in the building phase. I have to make sure to not jeopardize my full-time job until I reach the stage where my Business can take over. - Your current stage: Under 100 members, but getting there. 🙂
