What excuses do you or did you make for yourself not to get on the phone?
We're all keen to share success stories and knowledge of course but what about reflection? What would your present self say to your past self from years ago if you could? I used to tell myself that I should study more first and that I'm not prepared enough or that I should focus more on getting better leads for example. Insecure procrastination was the real reason in hindsight.

What's the ideal day(s) to make cold calls for you?
I'm seeing a pattern that Thursdays and Fridays usually have a better reception to my calls. Is it just coincidence?

"Hi this is Robin from x. We haven't spoken before. I was trying to see if we're at all relevant to you. Do you have thirty seconds for me to find out?" Alternatively, put on a your best Yoda voice and go "Cold call this is, thirty seconds you have?" though I can't guarantee any succes with that.

What headset do you recommend for calls? 🎧
I've been using my airpods but I feel like the audio quality is meh, they collect a lot of background noise. I usually do cold calling in an open space in my office so that's not ideal. What headphones/headsets do you guys recommend? Doesn't have to be anything crazy as I'm good with my airpods in my day-to-day life, just need sth for cold calling :)

I have a logitech wireless headset that uses Lightspeed. It's a little different than Bluetooth but I find my microphone way more clear and natural sounding this way. Only downside is that it uses a wireless dongle so to make actual calls with it, you need to get a USB c to USB dongle like shown in this picture I took. It has built in voice correction and you can tweak it a lot, I use the G733 model specifically and it's yet to let me down
