Dubsado
I would love to see how you utilise Dubsado for your preschool workflow. Do you import parents into there or just centres and automate your emails to centres/schools etc. Do you use it for your workflow to keep ontop of tasks for each preschool ? I have had a google sheets workflow built by a VA that lets me know tasks coming up, tasks due today and tasks overdue along with centre shoot dates - all intuitive with updates when I click boxes, trackers and centre info that integrates with google calendar, Order due dates, delivery date estimation etc which is fabulous, but the next step is automated my emails to centre directors when I get enquiries. I love that my workflow for preschool shoot to delivery tasks are in the spreadsheet (no ongoing monthly fees with a CRM), but perhaps a CRM might be useful to help with ongoing automation with preschool enquiries and workflow with the directors side of things. Ive coped for the last 12 years without a CRM though - but as I do about 35 centres a year and looking to scale to about double - it's time I think to get a CRM for that side of admin.

@Kat J I'll contact Dubsado and ask. I have a to-do list that includes checking out Sytist! I love the simplicity of Shootproof, and yes I also have employees who help and it costs me a lot less to have them do it than lab-fulfill on Shootproof. But I know Shootproof isn't really geared toward volume. If only there were just a few tweaks, it could work amazingly. But I'm always on the lookout for alternatives. And I'm so glad to have you on board, and bring on the Aussies! I'll be rooting for you all on Friday ⚽!!!

I've contacted Dubsado. They said it might take up to 2 weeks to see if we're a good fit. If they decline, I'll do a video although I'm definitely not a super user!

@Volkan Caglar I appreciate you contributing. Yes, a retiring photographer is a GREAT referral, because the school is probably already invested in using a local photographer.

I'm going to start a list that I'll pin so you can see what is on my "to-do list". Once it gets on the list, I'll prioritize those. It'll either be topics that are clear winners in the poll or things I've promised people I'll work on. If I'm missing something I said I'd do, please message me and remind me! 1. Getting new schools 2. Hiring an assistant / photographer 3. Expression varieties / prompts

Robyn, I would love to view your website and photography - for the headshots and the preschoolers ! I might try an add headshots in perhaps with my business at some stage - It looks like where you film your videos from you have your own studio. Do you do headshots in your studio or travel to clients for them. Sorry - not preschool/school related - but just thought I would ask.

Hi Kat, my website is www.robinsgambatiphotography.com and it houses all my non-PDC work. I created the separate PDC brand for this education/community work because the clients and audiences are different. I'm happy to have a call on headshots too. I am part of Peter Hurley's Headshot Crew and am an associate photographer. It's a process of getting portfolio reviews and learning his exact lighting process. That helped me tremendously to really SEE light and control it. Becoming an associate required me to put on my "big girl pants" and accept a lot of critique. I'm a huge believer now in portfolio reviews, which is why I offer them to premium members. I have different processes and software for headshots, which I'm happy to share as well. Yes, I have my own studio! It has been so helpful to store all my gear, have clients come and not have to shlep gear, and I have all my makeups in my studio. I still do a lot of on location headshots for companies, but charge a minimum for those. On the next call, I'm happy to give you a tour and also answer any questions. It's been a game changer for me, but there's also lots of ways to work without a studio. And don't apologize! Any topic is fine with me :)
The Founding Member call recording is up in the Classroom! πŸŽ‰
I was so energized after the call! Thanks so much for your participation and input - and patience. There were a couple times my connection froze (there are about 5 data centers being built around my studio and service around our building is suffering). I edited the call recording to skip those parts and also some of the small talk in the beginning (although I LOVED the small talk and getting to know you better). I also included a text summary so that it's easier to search for what is in the videos.

Hi Zena! I started replying before you updated, but it helped me realize I should make it clearer. Before when I setting up for the call today, I was limited by the length, but I've updated the about page and will post some clarification. Thanks!

@Kat J Oh my gosh, you made my day Kat. Thanks for the lovely feedback. I might have another idea for you too. When I'm walking about, I use both the hand strap (it's basically permanently on my camera) and a hip holster. So I don't use the holster for school work, but for outdoor family and any kind of corporate event when I might have to have access to 2 cameras, it's great. I can just hook it in and have both hands free. I'm going to the eye doctor this morning, but I'll try to show a video of it later.
Info on Tiers and Search Functionality
Hi amazing members πŸ€— ⭐ TIERS: While the live calls, for now, are open to all, including free members, the course content, including recordings, is at premium membership level. I've set the premium membership low enough to trial for a month to see if you like what's inside. The premium tier helps me continue to provide content. The great thing is that if you do like it, find value, and continue to subscribe, when I increase the rate (currently it's a founder rate), you're locked into whatever rate you came in at. πŸ” SEARCH: At the top of the page, there is a search bar - one that actually works well! I'm trying to provide either a summary or a transcript for videos for search, so that you don't have to spend a lot of time watching them to find something, something that drove me crazy about other platforms. After all, we have work to do!
