This is for your own safety as while we'd all like to think everyone would not harm other's chances, this is simply not the case unfortunately. It can cause conversion rates to drop with lots of visits and people can also be very closely 'inspired' from your listings. Make sure any images of creations you share do NOT have your logo, name, company/logo watermark. (if you want to watermark what you post, that's fine with a generic one, just don't do it with your shop/site info) Please no affiliate links. When creating a digital design with text, no matter what type of item it's being applied to, do I need to flip or mirror the design before selling it or does the printing service(like Printify) do that?

Newbie here. I haven't actually opened my Etsy shop yet because I haven't completely decided what I'm selling; POD or digital downloads. So I have a few questions and I apologize for the length of this post but I'm very analytical and TIA: 1. Who is buying digital design downloads and how are they using them? Are they shop owners who buy the designs and relist them in their own shops to sell on POD items? If so, are they curating designs from various stores, which seems to me their shops wouldn't have a cohesive look with so many different styles from the different designers. Or are they being purchased by people who want to print the design on an item as a gift or just to keep for themselves? 2. If someone is buying the downloads for their POD shop, why don't they just go to the AI and generate the designs themselves? I've been playing around with them and it's so much fun but it can be a little frustrating trying to communicate with the AI what you want. Is that what it is? The shop owners just don't want to go through that process.
