Joined thinking it might be a christian/bible-based truth seeking community. I’m not interested in “becoming God”. How do i deactivate my membership?

Hey guys, How can it be that if the Earth is flat and you're standing on a beach, watching a sailing ship sail away, the ground disappears more and more, and the ship disappears further and further downwards, as if it were traveling downwards into the Earth's curvature? Or why can't you look further into the distance when you're standing on a vantage point? At some point, the world disappears because of the curvature, as if it were round. We can see far enough because we can look at the stars.
