MK‑677 vs CJC‑1295 (no DAC) — here’s the real difference:
MK‑677 is a convenient option: oral, once-a-day, that boosts GH and IGF‑1 by mimicking ghrelin (your hunger hormone). That sounds great until you realize what that actually means in the real world: - Chronic hunger - Higher blood sugar and insulin resistance over time - A lot of the “lean mass” is water, glycogen, and organ weight, not pure contractile muscle You get numbers on labs, but your physiology is being pushed, not coached. CJC‑1295 (no DAC) is a different game. It’s a short‑acting GHRH analog, injected subq, that talks to your pituitary instead of screaming at it. @Travis Dickey Yes, I'm well aware to the two pathways, and their mechanisms of action, that's why I was confused by the framing. I understand that many my not be advanced, but I guess, I didn't see the how this ultimately roles up to the being complimentary and that was confusing. I guess for me this post would make more sense if it was Tesamorelin vs CJC or MK-677 vs Ipamorelin. Pairing a GHRH and a GHS seems to be fairly introductory as CJC/IPA and Tesa/IPA blends are at the top of the most discussed peptides. I added my comment to provide some clarity to the second point, not an advanced stack, but a complimentary stack.

I am looking for real insight based on what you have seen in the research or from being in the space and paying attention to what people are saying and doing. Which peptide do you think is getting way more credit than the actual data supports? What is the one everyone is hyping up, but you have looked into and thought was average at best? It could be something where the research is weak or selectively presented? It could be a situation where marketing is moving faster than the actual science. Could it be claims that do not line up with what is actually published? It could be a compound with real mechanisms, but is it being treated like a miracle solution? Or maybe it is something that blew up from a single study that was never replicated or validated? I am not sharing my answer yet. SOOOO many are seriously over hyped. MOTS-c is at the top of the list for me, everyone talks about it all the time as useful for all types of things that make ZERO sense for the mechanism of the peptide. Also NAD+, seems like every "influencer" recommends it, but never get into why, how, or who it really will work for.

@Travis Dickey I respect that. I have several different certifications myself and the crazy things I see posted bothers me so much sometimes. The idea that you'd injection something into yourself because you saw a TikTok video and have done no other research, or understand even what it's for is maddening

For the calm and clarity I'd research the Semax/Selank stack. It can really help with focus and reduction of anxiety.
