This is a poem I wrote for you from Jason Strickland and the Art of Poetry Community Somewhere beneath the same wide sky you wake to another morning, another day waiting to see what you will become. And I hope you know you are not forgotten. Not by the people who have heard your names, not by the hearts that have never stood where you stand but still believe your dreams matter. You may be far from us, but distance has never been strong enough to keep love from finding its way home. So let this be your reminder: You matter. Your laughter matters. Your questions matter. The little dreams you carry inside those growing hearts matter. One day you will look back at the child you were and understand something you may not understand today that your story was never meant to end where it began. There are pages ahead you haven't written yet. Pages filled with possibility. Pages filled with courage. Pages filled with laughter, with learning, with love. And perhaps someday one of you will become the person who reaches back for another child and says, “I remember being you. Come with me. You don't have to walk alone.” Until then, keep growing. Keep dreaming. Keep laughing when you can. And when the world feels too big and your dreams feel too far away, look up. The same moon watches over you that watches over us. The same stars shine above your home and mine. And somewhere beneath that endless sky there are people who believe that every child deserves a chance to become everything they were born to be. Including you. Especially you. You are seen. You are loved. You are not forgotten. By Jason Strickland
