Next week’s vision
End of another week that went too quickly! What are everyone’s goals for the upcoming week? Mine is to make better use of my time at home, and to stop getting distracted and instead work more productively and efficiently.

@Aarav Anil Have an idea on which topics you are gonna do. The topic I find hardest is definately market structures

@Hassan Ejaz tell me about it, the content feels so manageable and once u start the questions, it’s like a different language. Definately have to do a lot of practice
Eat the frog 🐸
“If your job is to eat the frog, eat it first thing in the morning” This basically means to tackle the hardest task first thing in the day so the rest of the day feels comparatively easier. Sounds like a fairly straightforward principle but is much harder to implement than expected. As revision for the upcoming exam season has well and truly started (hopefully), this mindset is a game changer. Having done 6 hours of Normal Distribution work today - something I have put off for weeks - I have well and truly eaten the frog and I must say the dopamine hit after completing that one task is like none other. Now (fingers crossed), the rest of my revision for the night is smooth sailing. If you have a frog waiting for you, there’s no better time to eat it than now. It may seem like a pain, but trust me when I say - it’s worth it. Work hard, there’s a long night ahead of us!

Sharpen Your Edge Early!
When I was fundraising at Urban Workaholics, hitting targets meant refining my sales approach every shift it wasn’t luck, it was practice. Small tweaks in how you pitch, handle objections, or close a conversation can make a massive difference over time. What skill are you practising now that you know will pay off later?

Something I’ve definitely improved upon in the past year or so is my presentation skills. Replacing all the “ummm” and “ahh” with pauses has been crucial in sounding more fluent and confident as this used to be a massive problem for me before I took steps to fix this.
What’s Your Biggest Struggle Right Now?
We’ve all got something we’re working on. Is it interviews? Balancing college and work? Applications? Drop your biggest challenge here someone’s probably been through it and can help. (Mine: keeping up practice for markets trading simulations whilst studying full-time.)

Currently being in year 12, biggest challenge right now is the pressure to get 4A*s in predictor exams. Since getting the best grades possible is essential for applications to both uni and apprenticeship programs. Especially since in my school, getting predicted an A* for further maths is incredibly tough - having to get 90% in an A-Level paper that is written to be significantly more challenging than standard past papers.
