One thing you’d repeat. One thing you’d change. 👇
Think back to your last race or training block. What worked well enough that you’d do it again? Perhaps you found a good training partner, became more consistent, or finally got your pacing right. Now, what would you change? Maybe you left fuelling practice too late, kept pushing when you were exhausted, or tried to catch up every missed run. Before you choose another plan, take those lessons with you. You don’t need to overhaul everything. Pick one change and decide what you’ll actually do differently. “Be more consistent” is vague. “Put my running slots in the diary every Sunday” gives you an action. If you’re preparing for your first race, think about your running so far. What’s helped, and what keeps getting in the way? Share yours below: ✅ One thing I’d repeat: 🔄 One thing I’d change: I’ll reply and help you turn that change into a practical next step.

Easy runs easy always worked well for me Practice fuelling experiment early Race pace as much as u can get used to being able to hold pace under fatigue Recovery has been my main aim this year Sleep electrolytes before and after a run Chocolate milk Sauna and ice bath Massage gun Hot bath Being consistent Knowing now 3 days out from my marathon that the work is done
How did you choose your marathon target? 🎯
Was it based on a recent race? A time you narrowly missed last year? Or a nice round number that sounded good when you entered? 😅 It’s easy to get attached to a finish time before you’ve worked out whether it’s realistic. Then that number starts influencing everything. You push the pace because you think you should be faster, and a perfectly useful session feels disappointing. Have a target, but permit yourself to review it. Look at your recent running, previous race results, and how consistently you’ve been training. As the build progresses, you’ll have more evidence to guide your race-day goal. For a first marathon, you might care most about feeling prepared, pacing sensibly and finishing with a positive experience. For an experienced runner, a PB might be the goal, but it still needs to reflect where you are now. What’s your marathon goal, and what made you choose it? Tell me below 👇

A full year of consistent running Excellent 10k and half tines There is garmin and strava predicted times too But more holding marathon pace for long periods and feeling comfortable with that I know alot can go wrong on race day etc I have a rough estimate rather than 1 definite time
MIDWEEK TRAINING CHECK-IN 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
We’re halfway through the week, so take a minute to look at what you’ve actually done—not just what was written in the plan. Answer these three questions: 1️⃣ What have you completed so far? 2️⃣ Has anything changed since you planned the week? Work, family, sleep, illness, a niggle or simply how you’re feeling? 3️⃣ Does the rest of the week need adjusting? Changing the plan isn’t automatically a sign that you’ve failed. Sometimes moving, shortening or removing a session is the most disciplined decision you can make. The goal is not to protect every individual workout. The goal is to keep the overall training moving in the right direction. Post your midweek update below, and include anything you’re unsure about for the rest of the week. 👇

What's one running habit that's made the biggest difference for you?
It doesn't have to be complicated. It could be: - Slowing down your easy runs - Strength training - Following a plan - Sleeping more - Eating before long runs Share one thing that's helped you become a better runner. 👇 Someone else might need to hear it.
