Business brain update!
I have trained my business brain: 1. To scan email and calendar and send me a brief for each day. 2. To draft replies to emails 3. To add selected meetings to my calendar from emails 4. To peruse and transcribe all my zoom and fathom recordings. 5. To write in my voice. 6. To scan Youtube for videos form designated creators I follow and transcribe their videos 7. To summarize ebooks, pdf and other text resource and create summaries and key points docs 8. To review and transcribe sales call recordings 9. To organize my G drive (even ai mentioned my disregard for naming conventions) 10. To run a monthly scrape of upcoming events in my area

Have you got it in multiple LLMs?
I'm gobsmacked...
I have a heavy, heavy heart tonight. Today I learned my friend Norm Thomas passed away. He was a great guy, loved cooking, loved marketing, loved his dog and was always willing to help people. He will be sorely missed. Via Con Dios, Brother.

I learned of Norm’s passing at 5 a.m. on Saturday, and I have thought of little else since. Norm had a huge influence on my digital journey. Along with Dorn, we were among the first to join Remote Millionaires, and from the very beginning, Norm helped create a culture of sharing, collaboration and genuinely wanting others to succeed. He set the tone for the community, and every one of us benefited from it. Norm brought a lifetime of experience and thoughtful perspective to every situation. He was clever, intelligent and always had a great sense of humor. More importantly, he cared deeply about people and took genuine pleasure in seeing others succeed. He was also a fellow animal lover and regularly shared photos of his beloved dog, Dawin. It brings some comfort to know that Dawin is safe and being cared for by Norm’s mother. Norm faced several significant health challenges over the years, and each time he showed incredible strength and determination. No matter how difficult the climb became, he continued to face life with courage, resilience and humor. My thoughts are with Norm’s mother, his sister and everyone close to him in Vancouver. Rest in peace, my good friend. Thank you for your friendship, your guidance and everything you did for me and so many others. You will be deeply missed. I will be reaching out to learn more about any service being held for Norm. I also hope we can bring members of the digital community together to remember him, share our stories and honor the impact he had on all of us.

Wednesday Question of the Week
Most of us got into agency ownership thinking the hard part would be learning the craft, mastering ads, SEO, funnels, whatever your thing is. Turns out technical skills are often the easiest piece of the puzzle. The stuff that actually keeps you up at night? Nobody puts that in the course. Nobody warns you about it in the mentorship calls. You tend to figure it out the hard way, usually at a cost. Whether that's money, a client relationship, a key team member, or your own sanity. And here's the thing: the agency world has a weird culture of projecting confidence and highlighting wins. Which means the genuinely hard lessons often stay private, shared only between close friends or not at all. So I want to break that pattern today. Not talking about surface-level stuff like "client communication is tough" or "hiring is hard." I mean the thing that genuinely blindsided you, the challenge you didn't see coming, couldn't Google your way out of, and had to learn by living through it. What is the hardest part of running an agency that nobody warned you about?

Mine is fix ups and go backs from a lack of attention to detail (mostly by team but often by me!) these are dead time and are always avoidable by having good progress and the right training in place for team, but to do this means in the set up or growth phase of an agency you have to spend many many hours on it which given all the other things it ends up being ‘that will do’ and this is the most likely thing to cause client friction or loss, so really it’s a top priority not a nice to do…..
