Hit 4,500 subs.
Hit it on the 15th. The number I keep staring at is the one next to it. 4,500 subs against 1.3 million+ lifetime views. I think I know why, and it isn’t complicated. I do ask people to subscribe. I put it at the end. Then I actually looked at the retention graph. On one of my tutorials the average person watches about a fifth of it before they leave , which makes sense, they came to fix one thing, it got fixed, they left. So my ask has been sitting in a part of the video most people never reach. I think I am dealing with a placement problem. Next few uploads I’m intending to move it. Maybe one ask, in the middle, right after the part where the thing actually works and the viewer is at their happiest. Not at the start, because nobody subscribes to a video they haven’t watched yet. Next goal is 10,000 before the end of the year. Ambitious but possible. Genuinely curious what people are stuck on , answer with whatever comes to mind first. What’s the biggest thing holding your channel back right now?

YouTube recently moved brand deals inside Studio
YouTube's new "Creator Partnerships" hub puts discovery, pitches, briefs, and media kits right inside Studio (live in 20 countries). Brands can now find you based on your actual analytics instead of cold emails. Why this matters for your channel SEO: 1. Your metadata is now your pitch deck.Titles, descriptions, and niche clarity don't just rank videos, they're how brands filter creators. A well-optimized channel is discoverable twice: by viewers AND by sponsors. 2. Performance sharing is one click. You can send brands a code with your real stats. No more inflated media kits your retention and CTR do the talking. 3. Boost lets brands amplify your videos as ads, and product tagging keeps selling after launch. Takeaway: optimize like a brand is watching because now one literally is. Clean niche, clear titles, honest analytics.

More opportunity 😎
The Search Party starts Saturday 🔍
One video a week. One comment every week. Three lines: Published this week? Yes / No The exact words someone would type to find it: One thing I’d do differently: That’s the whole thing. Takes a minute. Falling behind doesn’t take you out, going quiet does. Post “No” and what got in the way, and you’re still in. Show up every single week and I’ll personally review the keyword targeting on your next title for long form video. Comment “in” if you’re doing it. I’m doing it too.

I'm game! - Published This Week: No (just published a short) - Primary Keyword: N/A - One Thing I'd Do Differently: I'd like to get my Title, Thumbnail, Hook & Script dialled in, so I can hit the record button and go from there. --- Next week: - Primary Keyword: ai seo

@Adil Ka Noted, I will look for secondary keywords to go alongside it!
Thoughts on Eden.so for ideation? (Dan Koe's Tool)
Been using VidIQ for Keyword Research for YouTube (Adil's recommendation). I wanted to know if anyone's used Eden - Dan Koe's tool. The main feature that got me was the "Discover" tool, which does a similar thing - look up a "Keyword" and find the top. But it takes it a step further and does multiple platforms + it has some useful filters for it. Giving it a test this month and going to build some workflows around it. Curious if anyone has made their own or just does it manually?

@Adil Ka Will do 🔥
Quick YouTube A/B Testing Lesson
I recently learned that YouTube doesn’t always choose the thumbnail with the highest watch-time share. In my test, one thumbnail received 41%, while the first received 29%. However, YouTube marked them all as having performed well because the difference wasn’t statistically conclusive. When there’s no clear winner, YouTube keeps the first thumbnail as the default. So, don’t assume the selected thumbnail performed best, check the results and use your own judgment.

Interesting. So would you opt for the 41% one or still just use your own judgement?

@Adil Ka I think at first glance I'm more compelled to click on the first one as opposed to the third one. But yeah makes sense! Thats good to know
