It Jumped Off The Page
This quote jumped off the page when I read it two days ago. "You cannot teach what you do not know. And you cannot lead where you are unwilling to go". It got me thinking about my sellers, buyers, prospects, and people encountering my marketing messages. Where and how am I leading them? How far am I willing to go to attract and serve my clients? How and with what intention am I educating them? From the very first communication through the closing, am I creating a big enough distinction to separate me from the other agents in my market and especially from what regular people think the "typical agent" does?

Once upon a time, a clean cut, seemingly nice alarm system sales guy cold knocked on the front door of our new house. Part way into the conversation he decided to look at our sliding glass patio door and tried stepping into our house uninvited. He almost lost his foot as I closed the door in his face. He was probably working for an alarm company, but it occurred to me that pretending to sell security systems door to door would be an effective way to case homes for future burglaries.

There are easier and more fun ways to go deaf than having a tuba shoved over your head.
Welcome!
Do you mind taking a minute to introduce yourself? (And maybe let everyone know how many years you've been in the business AND what market area(s) you service?)
Welcome!

@Tamra Simons Hi Tamra, I spent a winter some years ago being a ski bum at Snowbird. I worked the breakfast shift at the Cliff Lodge. You are going to enjoy Josh's teaching. It's based on real world experience. And it works. What is one thing in your current business that works for you now?

I live and work in the Charlotte, NC metro. Licensed Broker in California and now North Carolina for over 3-1/2 decades. I've been following Josh for a long time through several iterations of his coaching including Wake Up Real Estate, REtechulous, and even before that. He's got great stuff, and he's a genuine nice guy too.
