If you are applying for a job then you absolutely should!!! It’s ALWAYS a good idea to double check PRD PRIOR to submitting your airline applications to double check your PRD work history matches your application, matches resume AND there aren’t any surprises! Safe flying!
My PRD pilots records do not have anything from my previous employer Expressjet, which I left for Spirit in 2015. Spirit has only a copy of records dating back to 2010. Question is how do I get the records from a carrier that no longer exists? The PRD does have the ATP checkride I took in 2000.
Follow up question, at what lengths will a company like American, United, Southwest go to find these records as they are more than 15 years old, or force me to find them? United just asked for my PRD which I gave them, which did not have entries from Expressjet. I did not make it to the next round to see how far they would go on background check. I left Expressjet before they shut down, this new PRD platform is a new system. Since more than 3000 to 5000 pilots worked at Expressjet prior to the end of the airline, I wonder why this information is not easy to find, I will try.
