So my first try with the Italian meringue was a total disaster. No matter how much I mixed the egg whites and sugar, I didn't get stiff peaks. I did however add the rest of the ingredients and baked the macarons in the oven (see picture). 😱 I then searched the web and found some good tips for the Italian meringue and had another go at it. This time, I think, the meringue came out great (see pictures). Unfortunately I didn't have any more dry ingredients at home so...until next time.
