Chat with Danni
So my chat with Danni Oldfield Venter, should be ready tomorrow. I actually found out about her through Stefan Terblanche. Stefan is a former professional rugby player, who still keeps himself in phenomenal shape, even in his 50's. Danni has been his nutritionist since his playing days. She also still works as the dietician for the professional rugby team, The Sharks as well as working with other athletes. Alongside that role, she see hospital patients as well as everyday people just looking to get healthier. Having trained as a chef, she is able to make healthy food look and taste amazing, which is a skill in and of itself. Danni is my go to when I'm looking for a nuanced, sensible approach to health and nutrition and I was delighted she was able to give me a little bit of her precious time. I'll let you know when it's ready tomorrow.

Thank you @Mk Duma
The diet doesn't matter as much as you think. 🧵
Here's the proof: In the 1930s, patients lost an average of 140 lbs on a diet of white rice, fruit, and sugar. Not the name brand diets you hear about these days (Keto, Vegan, Carnivore). White rice and fruit!! Because fat loss has always come down to the same 3 things, no matter what diet label you're using: ✅ Caloric deficit over 7 days ✅ Enough protein to protect your muscle ✅ Resistance training to keep that muscle GLP-1s (Ozempic) work because they suppress your appetite → creating the deficit. Keto (High fat, no carbohydrates) works because it eliminates food categories → creating the deficit. Carnivore (Meat only) works because protein and fat are satiating → creating the deficit. Vegan (Plant based foods only) works because plants are low calorie density → creating the deficit. See the pattern? Stop fighting over the vehicle. Focus on the destination. I'll be delving more into Nutrition, going forward and will share an amazing conversation soon. If you have a particular question you'd like addressed on Nutrition, please post below an I will ask my guest tomorrow. She is a great mind on food!!

Day 4: Personal Audit
We've done the vision. We've done the honest snapshot. We've found the root cause. Now we find the one thing that moves everything else. A small action that can help facilitate the bigger goal. I like to call it the #Day 4: Your #1 Lever I picked the Life/Mind track (You'll know what this is once you run the audit on yourself). When I asked myself what single change would make everything else easier... The answer was already there: reading instead of scrolling. It wasn't super radical, which is the whole point. It was something I can easily action each day ✅ Specific enough to act on today? Yes ✅ Fully in my control? Yes. ✅ Would I feel the difference in 30 days? Without a doubt. My lever: 15 minutes of reading "How Not to Die" at my midday break instead of picking up my phone. My commitment statement: "This week I will read for 15 minutes at my midday break because it allows me to re-enter work sooner and with more focus." 📖

Congratulations as all time bro
Day 2 Personal Audit
My day 2 results for the personal audit. Overall I obviously knew all these stuff already but having it on a screen and being able to save it to review over time is really useful.
