🚨Printing Platforms!
I just hand another major issue with IngramSpark and I’m curious to know your thoughts on the best current platform for self publishing and why??

I’m sorry. I won’t use Ingram again. I’ve looked at Spines, but I’m not sure yet. I have a seasoned author friend who uses Book Baby and loves it. I hate Amazon, but it’s the largest distributor, so I’ll probably stick with them. However, they take 40-50% of my profit.

@Jean Grainger Yes, the people behind the counter were very receptive, but it helped that I had copies of my book with me and that Asheville suffered during Hurricane Helene.

Scam
I’m going to make a blanket statement based on my research and reporting. IF YOU ARE A PUBLISHED AUTHOR and you receive an email from a “ Book Club” to be “featured” and their email is a GMAIL account, IT IS SPAM/SCAM.

Thank you so much! The original emails are very well written, obviously because they were written using AI. But when I finally respond and tell them I'm not interested, they come back with really poor grammar. It's truly laughable.

Connecting Deeper
Your readers know you write, but what else do they know about you? The largest number of responses and follows have come from photos with me on various motorcycles. Although I don't drive, I ride "backpack" or "*itch", but it's a part of me rarely seen by my readers. I strongly recommend that you share your hobbies with your readers and potential readers. Connect with them on a deeper level to make them WANT to learn more about you as a person and as a writer. Happy connecting, my friends!
