I loved feeling all the sensations throughout my body. And always, always, taking conscious breaths changes everything. I have heard that, for the best parasympathetic response, one should exhale longer than one inhales. Does this matter at all? Thank you!

At the core of Earth 2.0, diet is not about rules..... Why Most Diets Fail (And Why This Is Different) Most modern diets fail for the same reason. They are built on ideology instead of energy. They tell you what to eliminate, restrict, or avoid…but rarely ask whether your body is actually producing more energy as a result. That’s why people can follow a diet perfectly and still feel: fatigued cold bloated anxious disconnected from hunger and satiety When nutrition is reduced to rules, the body goes quiet. It’s because most diets today are built on rules, not biology. Vegan. Paleo. Keto. Carnivore. Raw. Primal. Different philosophies. Same pattern. Restriction. Compliance. Identity. Nutrition turns into something you believe in, defend, and suffer through instead of something that actually supports your body. For years I forced myself into dietary frameworks I believed were “optimal.” On the outside, it looked disciplined. Clean. Impressive. On the inside, my system slowly shut down. I started asking“What helps my body produce energy, regulate my nervous system, and actually feel alive?” That single shift changed everything. Food has one primary job: to create usable energy. When I started eating for energy, not ideology, my body responded fast. And over time, I stopped needing a “diet” at all. Food stops being a source of nourishment and becomes a source of stress. At its core, nutrition has one primary role:to support energy production, regulation, and resilience. When food supports energy, the nervous system softens. Digestion improves. Hormones stabilize. Clarity returns. This is why there is no universal “perfect diet.” There is only the diet that supports your energy, metabolism, and nervous system in this season of life. And to find that, we must move away from belief systems…and back into relationship with the body.

Thanks for inspiring thinking and reflecting. Lately, I have been noticing that what I am eating isn't as important as WHY I am eating. Am I truly hungry? Or am I feeling bored, triggered, acting habitually, avoiding something, or craving something (which might not even be food). I have found myself comfortably in fasting states, going hours and sometimes days without food, and feeling better for it. I am in menopause, and my body doesn't need what it used to, and noticing the new needs has been supremely eye-opening.

Are Parasites the Hidden Drain Behind Chronic Illness, Autoimmunity, and Burnout?
There are moments on the healing path when something clicks and you realize the issue was never about doing more. It was about removing what was quietly taking from you. Recently, I have been moving through one of the most challenging health chapters I have faced in years. And I do not say that lightly. Many of you know my journey. I have spent decades in breathwork, nervous system regulation, detoxification, biohacking, and consciousness work. I thought I knew my body well. Then about six months ago, after a 10-day darkness retreat, everything changed. Inside that darkroom, visible black mold was later discovered. At the time, I did not think much of it. But from that moment on, my system never fully returned to baseline. I experienced deep nervous system dysregulation. Workouts would make me sick instead of stronger. Sleep became fragmented. Ice baths and sauna, tools that once regulated me, suddenly crashed me for days. Recovery that used to take hours took two or three days. My body was no longer responding the way it used to. This was not weakness. This was information. The Terrain Matters More Than the Symptom Modern medicine is very good at naming diseases. It is far less skilled at asking why the terrain became vulnerable in the first place. Mold exposure, chronic stress, environmental toxins, poor sleep, emotional overload, and unresolved trauma all shift the internal environment. When the nervous system is stuck in survival, digestion weakens. Detox pathways slow. Immune signaling becomes chaotic. In that terrain, opportunistic organisms thrive. Parasites are not just something you get from poor hygiene or travel. They are ancient organisms that coexist with humans and tend to flourish when the internal ecosystem is compromised. Think of your body less like a fortress and more like a garden. When the soil is healthy, nothing invasive takes over. When the soil is depleted, something else moves in. The Analogy That Changed Everything for Me Imagine trying to fill a bathtub with the drain partially open.

Ever since I learned that there are no “good” and “bad” bacteria, but rather bacteria is pleomorphic (meaning they change shape and structure depending on the environment they are in), I began to understand that yes, I could experience negative feeling symptoms in my body, because the bacteria were there, eating up whatever was causing an imbalance in my system, and their metabolites from doing so created my mucous, my headache, etc. They were and always have been my supporters! And yes, I could die if I had an incredibly imbalanced system they were working to clean…but it’s a lot like blaming firefighters for causing fires. The same is true for mold. The mold itself isn’t the problem. It’s the toxic materials it is breaking down that is being released into the air. The mold is trying to save us. And yes, we can experience terrible symptoms arising from exposure. So when I think about parasites, I wonder if we are meant to kill them. Maybe they are yet another sign of imbalance, calling us to look deeper at the true cause. I am no doctor. These are just my thoughts and observations. Much love! ❤️
