Seize the Day, Live Life My Friend!
Hey Academy, If you boil life down to its essentials โ€” the two or three things that matter most from day to day โ€” seize the day is certainly on that short list. It's at the heart of my favorite movie, Dead Poets Society. Each day we get up, we have a lot of choices. But we have one choice that matters most: to live that day to the best of our ability. And if we do that, we'll be much better off. It's obvious when you think about it. And you're probably reading this nodding your head โ€” yeah, I know. We've heard these things our whole life. But that's exactly the point. You know it, but you don't really know it. You haven't internalized it. Because day after day, we don't actually seize the day. That's what makes it such an interesting concept โ€” something we know, yet don't do. I don't say it every day, but on a regular basis I tell my kids to seize the day. I tell them to live life. I tell them to scream it out in public โ€” which, of course, they don't, because that's embarrassing. But you should. You should go out and scream it out. Walk out into โ€” maybe not the middle of a crowd, but out in an area where people will hear you, so it's real. And do it. My friend and I used to ride our bikes to this little section of road where we would pedal as fast as we could until a line in the pavement where we'd take our feet off the pedals, just to see how far we could get. Each time trying to get a little bit further than the last. And for whatever reason, we would yell at the same time: "Live life, my friend!" People would look at us strangely, as you might expect. That's easier with a friend, of course โ€” doing these things. But the value of those little moments is that they pull you out of the day-to-day. They remind you to live life. To seize the day. And it's especially hard when you're in a mode where you're failing. Maybe you've kept trying to do something and you failed. Or maybe you actually achieved something great โ€” and then you screwed it up. It feels like all is lost. Maybe you're 40 or 45 or even 50. Or maybe you're young. And you feel like you gave away that one opportunity you had. Maybe you did. Maybe you didn't. Who knows?

๐Ÿš€ Special PopeBot (AI AGENT) Session Wed 11am PST
Hey Academy! I got a special working session planned for Wednesday on THE POPE BOT! (but I have a favor to ask in return โ€” its super easy see below) If you haven't seen it yet, CHECK IT OUT HERE. We'll talk about use cases, build some stuff maybe even one of your suggestions. Challenge me to build something live! I'll take sometime to answer questions live too. Not only is this a seriously powerful tool, it's no joke, no toy, but it's a wonder tool to learn from. If you look under the hood you'll learn so so much. So I'll spend sometime showing you how it actually works too. I learned a TON building it, so let me share that with you. If you want to know the "next" move in AI, you gotta be here! >> ๐Ÿ‘‡ HOW TO JOIN ๐Ÿ‘‡ << This is a paid member event, but I have a special offer for you. If you 1. Go to github and star โญ๏ธ the repo >> RIGHT HERE << then 2. Take a full page screenshot of your github account and the star so we can see it. then 3. Paste that screenshot below in the comments (DO NOT DM), we'll send you a link Tuesday afternoon with information on how to access the event! But put it on your CALENDAR NOW and then click the link below and drop your screenshot in the comments๐Ÿ‘‡ Go to github and star โญ๏ธ the repo >> RIGHT HERE << Important Note: There will be no public recording of this event.

I Believe in You (If That Matters)
I've always seen greatness in people โ€” in every person I meet. And more than that, I have the ability to help them see it in themselves, I do the same for myself. It's one of my core skills โ€” maybe the core skill โ€” that has made me who I am and helped push others toward who they could become. But here's what age and wisdom have taught me: what I think you can become is completely irrelevant unless two things are true. First, you actually care about my opinion, and trust me. And second, you want my advice. Some people don't. And that's okay. I'm not claiming to be all-knowing. In fact โ€” here's a shocker โ€” I've been wrong. But I've been right enough times, with enough consistency, that I'm confident this is real. I'll also be honest about my blind spots. I'm an INTJ, and the way I'm wired, growth is the only true North Star. Getting better is the point. Emotions, feelings โ€” my instinct has always been to treat them as noise. That mindset has cost me. I've turned people off with my approach, especially personality types that need to feel heard before they can hear feedback. I know now that not everyone processes the world the way I do, and I'm still learning how to bridge that gap. I say all of this not to sound egotistical, but to be real with you โ€” and to share what actually goes on in my head, because maybe some part of it is useful to you even if the whole thing isn't. The Way I Think For me, the key has always been to assume there's a next level. And not a minor improvement โ€” a major one. I don't set goals to get a little bit better. I set goals that are ten times bigger. It's not about working a little harder. It's about working ten times harder. I know that sounds intense. And the reality never maps exactly to what's in my head. But the intensity is the point. I spend very little time enjoying a win. When I reach the next level, I feel the satisfaction, I sit with it briefly, and then I move on. I keep pushing. I'll admit that this intensity has not always served me well. I've burned myself out. But I don't think that means the approach itself is wrong โ€” just that the execution wasn't always patient enough.

It might seem counter intuitive (given what I talk about a lot re: content automation) but lets get our priorities straight.

BET on YOU
It's easy to look for others to solve our problems. And there are plenty of people that will take your money to solve it. But will they? And sometimes we all need help. That's true. But what if that elusive dream was just one honest assessment of yourself away. We often know the problems we have. But we cant sit long enough in a quiet place to assess it. Maybe we're too distracted, in denial or whatever it might be. Give yourself a shot as the answer to your own problem. Bet on you. No one else will.
