Introduce yourself!
Hey you! Yes you... We've had quite a few new people waltz up in here. 📸 Practice uploading a video of yourself by clicking the paper clip icon, then click - add video, then choose, "select a file". Use - Camera video, as your option. You should be seeing your own face or a view from your front dacing camera. Switch it to face you and then you'll be ready to press record. When finished, press the "stop recording" stop button and your video will automatically begin uploading. During the uploading process, you can either write a small blurb too or just leave that space blank, and let the video do the talking. Either way - short and simple - Give us a hello 👋🏽 with your name, How long you've been playing, (Either play it or just say it) Share your favorite song to play, right now. Thanks for being here! I’ve already done this I think. But here ya go anyways. My name is Ray McKoy, I’m 71 years old and reside in Brenham,TX where I’m in charge of my daughter’s 5 dogs and 1 cat while she travels worldwide for her work. I’m relearning the guitar left handed due to physical limitations in my left hand and arm. I played guitar from the age of 9-10 till my second year of college then life got in the way and I didn’t touch a guitar until about 6 months ago . I’m trying my best to learn this alien style of guitar playing but it’s a very very slow and painful process I’m afraid. I’ve also started modding guitars and building partscasters which I enjoy way more than the guitar playing at least currently lol. I also do custom leatherwork as a side hustle to supplement my extremely meager SSA check monthly, I’m currently in the beginning stages of making a few hand carved and tooled pick guards for some Tele’s . How To Post in Skool! (Not just for beginners lol)
This easy "step by step" - How to - post in Skool for anyone who wants to just use a cell phone. For one reason or another, this was not obvious to me, and it's personally already saved me on a few occasions. (I'll leave my example post in the comments) Simple in theory. You just click into the post option and choose the category you want to post in. When you choose a file, just choose the one that says "Camera" so that Skool can use your camera. Press record and from there the video will auto upload to the Skool platform. That makes things way easier than recording, editing, uploading and typing something up. Less ability to edit, more convenience for posting smoothly right when inspiration strikes! So give this a try and let us know that it worked for you by just posting a quick clip of you saying hi to the camera in a post like the one accompanying this post here. Don't skip this video, I think we'll see many more of you posting with this sort of opportunity. Thanks for being here we'll see you in the chats!
