You May Not Have a Boundary Problem—You May Fear the Consequences
Most of us already know when a boundary is needed. We feel the resentment after saying yes. We notice the exhaustion after giving more than we have. We hear the quiet voice saying, “I don’t want to do this.” The struggle is not always knowing how to set the boundary. Sometimes, the real struggle is what we believe will happen afterward. What if they become angry? What if they call me selfish? What if they withdraw their love? What if they struggle because I stopped rescuing them? What if I have to sit with their disappointment? When you have been conditioned to keep the peace, being honest can feel dangerous—even when the boundary is healthy. But someone’s disappointment does not automatically mean you were unkind. Their reaction is information about how the boundary affects them. It is not the final authority on whether the boundary was necessary. The deeper work is learning to remain with yourself after you say no—without rushing to explain, apologize or reverse your decision. Reflection: What consequence are you most afraid of when you imagine setting the boundary you need? ☕ Your invitation: Complete this sentence in the comments: “The boundary I need is ______, but I am afraid ______.” Share only what feels safe. You may also leave a 🌙 if you are practicing how to honor your boundaries without abandoning yourself afterward.

Journey Entry
Well, I tried all I know how to do I get some guidance as my time frame for making an informed school shift is narrowing. So I reached out for help in, not one not two but five different ways. All avenues had time constraints that were not suiting to the mental need to settle this issue. I had to call as an adult with autism non routine things like non rehearsed phone calls that are unpredictable trigger my overwhelming meltdown down. So if the people on the phone do there job I'm good ☺️ if they don't I'm not. And they did not do their jobs. And I DID have a meltdown. AND I pulled myself together and finished wtf I had todo. I still am not sure if I did the "right" thing, per se but I did SOMETHING. I asked my self what would my mama tell me todo. And did it. I gave myself pace & grace

I am proud of you for taking action, however I apologize for the space in which you had to move in to do anything. Give yourself grace, there is no such thing as a right or wrong thing. The path of our journey is full of ups and downs. I'm calling you 💐
Is the Exhaustion Yours
Some of the exhaustion you feel may not belong to you. You may be carrying conversations you have replayed for days. Rewriting what you should have said. Analyzing what they meant. Imagining how they might respond. You may be carrying reactions you tried to prevent, emotions you attempted to manage and problems no one actually asked you to solve. This often happens when you have learned to be the peacekeeper, the fixer or the woman who anticipates everyone’s needs before they are spoken. You call it caring. But somewhere along the way, caring became carrying. And carrying became responsibility for things that were never yours to control. Today, pause before automatically picking up another emotional burden and ask: Is this mine to feel? Is this mine to solve? Or is this mine to release? Compassion allows you to care about what someone is experiencing. Self-trust reminds you that you do not have to take ownership of it. Your peace does not require you to solve every problem in the room. ☕ Your invitation: Complete this sentence in the comments: “Today, I am releasing responsibility for ______.”

Today, I am releasing responsibility for the emotions of others.
You Do Not Have to Perform Healing Here
Healing is not a performance—and The Seated Sisters is not a stage. You do not have to use perfect language, share your deepest wounds or produce a breakthrough every time we gather. You do not have to appear peaceful while you are struggling or pretend you understand something you are still processing. Some days, healing looks like setting a boundary. Some days, it looks like recognizing the pattern but not yet knowing how to change it. Other days, it looks like resting, remaining quiet or simply choosing not to abandon yourself again. Your progress is not measured by how inspirational your journey looks to other people. It is measured by your growing willingness to be honest with yourself, honor your capacity and return when you are ready. Come with your questions. Come with your weariness. Come with your wisdom. Come willing to begin again. Reflection: What would healing look like today if you did not have to prove anything? ☕ Share one word describing what you need today—or simply leave a 🌸 to let us know you are present. No explanation required.
