Hold Down Help - Tile Gaskets w/ Vacuum Table?
I'm desperately seeking the Holy Grail of hold downs. I do a lot of parts which are profile cuts and each one is a crap shoot if it has to be very accurate. The CNC that I have has is a MultiCam44# that the prior owner added an industrial Vacuum Table to. The vacuum isn't sufficient to hold down the wood/plywood w/o additional fasteners of some sort. I'm wondering if Tile Gaskets really work as well as advertised. Having said that I then wonder if a DIY version would be available using neoprene adhesive backed sheet or roll gasket and have a pattern of drill holes 1/8" deep to DIY? Tabs don't seem to work great, etc. Very Frustrated. I'd like to use Vcarve Pro 12 to make some boxes but I can't be sure they won't break loose and lose the integrity of the parts/box.

It is so hard to find the one product that can set you apart that Ryan was talking about in the latest video. Trying to think outside of the "cnc" box! Anyone else?

Carbide Create Vs. Vcarve pro
Hey asked this in the live last night but it must have been over looked which is fine after I asked it I thought it would be better to ask it in here then I can get other people who have made the choice to change software as well. My question last night was if Ryan was going to try and us carbide create when he get his shapeoko or not. Main reason I am looking to upgrade (when I can between paying/having surgerys) is there seems to be more features then even carbide create pro and looks easier to use/ more videos on v carve. I look for videos comparing the two software and didn't get to far. And feed back would be great or links to stuff that I may have not seen. Thank you in advance.

I spoke with another cnc guru and he has had them both. He said hands down vcarve pro is better. They have a free trial that I’m going to try as well
