My wife had Surgery on her right shoulder, for any of you who have had sholder surgery, you know it's hard to sleep flat on a bed. I bought her a recliner to sleep in. Well I realized that she needed a end table. Yay me, I get to build something! Nothing fancy, but she loves it and it's a big help to her. Happy wife, happy husband. I was asked by a lady I've built for in the past to make her a trellis. She bought all the wood and brought it to me. It's a fast build and straid forward. No painting was involved so I gave a price of 50 dollars. I finnished it in a few hours and sent her a picture saying it's done. Can you please put one coat of pain on it, she texted back, I said sure. She was supposed to pick it up that afternoon, but now wants it finnished, I did put two coats of paint on it. Now she wants the vinyl lattice painted. Nope not doing it. Why do people think they can get free work as if I have nothing else to do. The spots that you see on the frame is me using a new skill, I used wood bondo to fill screw holes and imperfections. Work really good.

Plant stand that I made for a Friend out of some recycled hemlock siding

A number of years ago my oldest daughter brought a home with some pretty ugly Teak countertops and asked if I wanted the wood and of course I didn’t say no.A couple of years ago I saw an article in a woodworking magazine for this garden bench, I thought what a great idea for some of the Teak. In the pictures you can see not only the bench, but a shower seat that I made for another daughter and a shower shelf that I made for one my granddaughters. Sometimes all I get is a picture of something that someone would like me to build and I have to figure out how to make it. I will post on how I accomplish this in another post.
