Retatrutide Phase 3 Results: 28.7% Weight Loss + Inflammation Benefits ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Alright, so Lilly dropped their TRIUMPH-4 Phase 3 data yesterday for retatrutide. 28.7% weight loss. 71 pounds average. At 68 weeks. If you've been paying attention to triple agonists, this shouldn't be surprising. The Phase 2 data already showed us where this was headed. But now we have the Phase 3 confirmation. Here's what happened: 445 people with obesity and knee osteoarthritis. Split into three groups - 9mg retatrutide, 12mg retatrutide, and placebo. The 12mg group lost an average of 71.2 pounds. That's 28.7% of their starting weight. Compare that to tirzepatide's ~21% in Phase 3. That's 8 percentage points higher. The glucagon agonism makes the difference - you're not just suppressing appetite, you're ramping up energy expenditure and fat oxidation. Why triple agonists hit different: Retatrutide is GIP + GLP-1 + Glucagon. You already know GLP-1 from semaglutide. You know the dual combo from tirzepatide. The glucagon piece is what pushes this into a different category. - GLP-1 = appetite control - GIP = metabolic optimization - Glucagon = fat-burning accelerator You're hitting all three mechanisms simultaneously. The inflammation piece is wild: This trial was designed for knee osteoarthritis, not just weight loss. The pain results were massive: - 76% reduction in pain scores - 74% improvement in physical function - 12% of people completely pain-free by week 68 But here's what's interesting - this wasn't just about losing weight and reducing load on the joints. Retatrutide crushed inflammatory markers across the board. hsCRP dropped significantly. Triglycerides down. Blood pressure down 14 mmHg. Each component has anti-inflammatory effects. GLP-1 reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines. GIP has protective effects on bone and cartilage. Glucagon ramps up fat burning, and less adipose tissue means less inflammatory signaling. You're not just taking pressure off the knee - you're turning down systemic inflammation that's driving the pain in the first place.

If I'm splitting my dose of reta at 4mg on Monday and 4mgs on Thursday should I still see the same results of 8mg even if I'm not taking it all at once?
Switching back to Tirz from Reta
Im considering switching back to Tirz from Reta. I'm currently doing 3.2mg of reta twice a week. I've been on Reta for 4 months. I last left off on tirz 4 months ago at 12.5mg. what dose should I start back on Tirz at? Note: Im considering switching back because I haven't really seen any results on Reta and I get zero appetite suppression on Reta. I felt leaner on Tirz.

@Carlos Vasquez interesting. Thank you for the feedback
Cagrilintide For Food Noise
Thinking of adding Cagrilintide since I have zero appetite suppression on 7mg of Reta. I'm split dosing reta every Monday and Thursday. When should I take the Cagri? I understand to start low so I'm thinking .25mg either once or twice a week for now. Also, what should I reconsistute with? My food noise is LOUD! Reta has really done absolutely nothing for my appetite suppression and I feel like I'm constantly thinking about food and overeating. For context, I'm also on 5amimo and MOTS-C now too. Thanks everyone!

@Ximena Dominguez I have seen that video before when initially researching Cagri. Thanks for reminding me
Food noise and always hungry
I'm currently on 5mg of reta every 6 days and 2mg of 5amino 1MQ daily. I am always hungry. Like obsessively ravenous. I wake up thinking about food and definitely over eat. Should I up my dose on the reta or frequency? For some extra insight... Ive been on Reta for about 3 months now and I switched from 12.5mg of tirz.. I still had food noise on tirz but not as bad as it is now. I do feel like my body composition has changed since being on Reta tho.

@Romeo Arabov ya I'm diabetic so I take insulin and metformin. I'm adding MOTS-c in hopes to get off insulin and metformin eventually.

@Derek Pruski ok so you think I should stay at 5 and just split the dose?
Peptira
Just placed my first order or Reta with Peptira. Read a lot of good reviews on here so hoping they live up to the hype

Got my order very quick. Haven't started it yet because I have other reta to use first. But this last batch of atomiklabs has worked well
