Factions, Clocks, NPCs, Secrets and more! So I built an app.
The whole thing about factions had eluded me for a long time. But after reading both Proactive and Collaborative books it really made it simple and explained how everything revolves around factions! So I decided to make a tool for myself that helped me track factions and their relationships with other factions (threads). This turned into a “conspiracy board” type visualisation… thus Conspirita was born! It now does a lot more! Secrets was a big deal for me. I’ve added ability to track secrets, who knows them, and if they’ve been revealed; NPCs, locations, PCs, maps and more. It’s been so helpful! You can share a view of it with players too - just a brief outline of a few things. It can even integrate with things like Claude via its own MCP Server! I'm trying out building session plans with Claude since I like to ideate on a bunch of random stuff and then draw some structure from it all. So now Claude and I just chat about what's happened in the last session, I share what I’m thinking for next session, and Claude asks me clarifying questions. Now, rather than Claude trying to constantly remember all about the factions, npcs, locations and stuff from it's own memory (and regularly getting confused about things), it just references my Conspirita board and we're both clear on what's what and who's who. I'd love for anyone who's curious to check it out and let me know what you think! If you want to check it out, you can find it at https://conspirita.com. Once you're signed in to Conspirita, add this URL to your Claude instance: https://conspirita.com/api/mcp If you have any feedback I’d love to hear it! I keep tweaking things when I find myself wanting something more.

Just poking around a bit. One thing that might be useful is shortcut keys so you don't have to keep going to the top right to switch from one section to another. And also maybe having the option to have the links in a sidebar rather than on the top right; on larger screens, it's a lot of extra mouse movement each time.

@Jeremy Roberts My laptop is just 13", but the secondary monitor, where I usually have my browser window, is 32 inches (which I realize is probably not as common). I think it would be nice too to have a place where you could see in a list what all the keyboard shortcuts are.
Teaching Kids through RPG’s in BC!
Hello Game Masters! The name is Jon and I’m a GM from the metro Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada. I’ve been running games since 2022 starting with D&D but have since converted over to Daggerheart mainly. In the daytime I teach, and this year I decided to do something really different. I wanted to see if students would interact with curriculum and content more meaningfully if it was more than just data to be stored. That’s how “Verdaria” was born: my classrooms home brewed sandbox. Every time we learn a new unit the “Verdarians” discover new details about their world. Unit on Ecosystems? We’ve discovered lush and diverse biomes at each quadrant of our map. Unit on Governments? We’ve now understood the various forms of power distributed across Verdaria’s kingdoms. It’s been revolutionary for me and the kids, and also affords me even more excuses to crack out the dice during regular school hours. I look forward to learning how I can facilitate this educational journey more and share some of my ideas with other like minded storytellers!

Fellow Vancouverite here, welcome!
Crooked Moon Halloween
So this year Halloween is on a Saturday and there are five Fridays. I have an idea to take the Crooked Moon campaign setting (folk horror, think headless horseman or Midsommar, maybe even the Blair Witch vibes) and turn it into a 5 week mini campaign every Friday night culminating in the final session on Oct 30. The campaign book is a brick would need careful structure to cut it down to 15 hours of game time (5x3 hour sessions). Any advice on how to go about this? Also I'm not even sure if it makes sense to do proactive role play in this kind of game but if it can be done I'm open to suggestions.

As someone actually going through this adventure module right now, I might suggest taking a look at the Fateweaving mechanic. There's about 6 points for each path, which you could probably squeeze down to 5. With a bit of work (they are originally meant to be spread out and tie into different parts of the story), they could be condensed down to be the framework for each session, and naturally ties some boss fights already. And they can probably be modified pretty easily to be more proactive; as is, they already take a bit of input from the player (they have to choose which fate to weave and work with the DM to tie it into their character's backstory). In fact, between that and how the Dark Bargains work, it would not shock me if the folks at Avantris read the book before creating the campaign!

@Tristan Fishel We just finished our 20th weekly session (about 3hrs each time). Judging by our pace so far, I think we're about 40% of the way through the main campaign (which goes from lvl 1-13). This is my first full campaign as a DM, so YMMV.
