Accreditation Run Through and Student Support
Hello all, I have been asked by some of you what exactly is involved in our iPET approved Accreditation, and how much student support is available for those who decide to join (hence my post earlier). Here is my "brief" run through of it all - I go through what's expected of each module, how much student support you get, how to pass the course, and what happens if you fail the first time. ALL questions have been answered, so if you are really interested in joining The Holistic Grooming Academy, and learning with us through our award-winning certification, please watch the video. Our course is one of the leading UK online courses for advanced grooming training, and we are very proud to have upheld such a solid reputation for the last five years. Any more questions, pop them in the comments below. Have a lovely weekend. Stephanie

@Stephanie Zikmann thank you so much
Hydrobaths - loud and d stressful
Dear all, I’d appreciate your feedback on the use of Hydrobaths . It’s something I invested in my Salon for all the right reasons but on reflection, I can see that my dogs just find the noise stressful. THE enclosure also doesn’t make them feel great. What are your thoughts and experiences. Can anyone suggest kind alternative alternatives. Many of my large dogs are simply too frightened to get into it so refuse. I’m really interested in what kind of bathing setups people have that would help to keep the grooming experience consent based and a slow stress as possible. I’m not adverse to bathing the dog as they are on the ground as my flooring and set up allows this. Thank you so much, and by the way, happy Friday 😉🐾🥰 Rachena WOOF Grooming

@Justyna Poborska thank you so much for helping and sharing this information with me! Today I abandoned my Hydro bath and basically bathed my dog on the floor which he was so much more comfortable with. Luckily, my flooring is suitable for it.

@Claudia Allen hi, thank you so much for your feedback. Going to do exactly the same as you’re planning to. We are fitting new showers in my house actually I’m stealing one of the old shower Reyes and bringing it down to my salon . it’s far more normal internal for all of the dogs, I think to be paid on the ground where they are . like yourself my Experience of the big dogs really do not like to be enclosed in a Hyderabad. I’m sure the small dogs don’t like it’s either really. I’ll share some photos when my new note is completed and I’d love to see yours too.
Pet Loss
Dearest community, please forgive my 'MIA' the last couple of days. My most precious girl, Nala, has been in end of life care for the last year, and passed away yesterday afternoon in the safety of her home, in the arms of the person who loved her the most in the world. I'm trying to navigate the loss of the very best 'dog teacher', a behaviour student could ever have asked for - she taught me so much about boundaries, about deep-rooted behaviours, about dog-on-dog conflict, about food resource guarding, and so much more. But most importantly of all, she taught me that even a dog with significant behaviour and physical impairments, can be supported. Can be beautiful. Can be loving. Can be the best comfort in times of stress. I am utterly devastated. I am broken. So, I ask that you all please bare with me as I may be a little less active in this space over the next few days. If there's anything really important remember you can reach out to @Clare Hudson Hill or @Vanessa Barber - our HGA tutors. I intend to be back on track for our next Live check in on Monday.

I feel deeply for your loss. Take care ❤️
Bathing question
If you could choose your perfect bathing setup in your salon, what would it be: stainless steel electric bathtub, hydrobath or build on the high of your hip a walki-in shower? Or maybe something else? I am planning how my salon should look like and I would love some input from experienced groomers. Thank you! 🤎🧡❤️

@Vanessa Barber that’s exactly what I had in mind Vanessa! I think I’m going to say goodbye to the Hydrobath . It’s completely alien to dogs. I’m committed to renting it until the end of the year, it might just be a little therapeutic bath for myself and the children 🤣
Winner Winner Wednesday’s 🏆
The theme for Wednesday’s is all about your successes, no matter how big, or how small. For professionals and carers, this might mean a breakthrough with a dog, or a breakthrough in your own learning journey 🐾 Or it could be a recent award, a good bit of media coverage or something else. HGA Graduates have all celebrated various awards and media coverage over the years which I personally, am very proud of! So much so, I actually SCREENSHOT them as and when they happen because it reminds me why I started the HGA in the first place - to help support groomers be the very best groomers they can be 🤝 And most of the time, all it takes is giving them reason to have FAITH in themselves - everything else, is already there! So for today, I want to do a time lapse on some of my own, and some of our HGA students’ past successes, and I want this thread to be a reminder that non-conventional groomers very much have a place in society, and anything is possible! ⭐️ If you have anything you are proud of, share it below! 👇
