🎬Grok Bot + Descript Makes Editing Magic
I record in Descript (similar recording tools include Riverside, Camtasia, and Loom). Chip, my Grok Bot AI video editor, handles the editing and cleanup. For beginner and novice editors, 1–2 hours of manual editing per minute of finished video can be a useful planning estimate, depending on the complexity. And that assumes you already know the tool’s features. For this video, working with Chip took about 30 minutes total, including giving instructions in plain English and waiting for the edits to process. During processing, I could do other things. I could even request changes from my phone. That’s why this caught my attention. In this Short, you’ll hear a real, unscripted conversation between my Grok Bot and me. I asked Chip, which recording software I use. It explained that I record in Descript and that it pulls the project straight from there—no files for me to download. The basic workflow: 1. Connect your Descript account to Grok Bot. 2. Record your video in Descript. 3. Ask Grok Bot to make the edits. 💬 Give it instructions in plain English, like: - “Remove the pauses and false starts.” - “Cut the section where I repeat myself.” - “Remove the sentence that starts with…” - “Shorten the introduction so we get to the main point faster.” For this video, Chip removed the pauses and false starts: 🎥 Original recording: 2:57 ✂️ Final cut: 1:41 I gave the direction. Chip made the cuts. I reviewed the result. ▶️ Watch my YouTube conversation with Chip 💬 What part of creating videos would you like to hand off to AI? Thanks Michael, I'm trying to work out how to best do videos myself. I'm completely new to it, so glad that AI can make the task much easier.
🎓Share Goal in Comments. We donate $1. Help Students and Veterans.
For every unique member who shares a goal in the comments, AI Bits and Pieces will donate $1 to Winning Futures, up to $100 total now through October 15, 2026. It is simple, and fun. To clarify, we are not asking any member to donate money. Just share the goal that your favorite LLM gives you. 🎯 With three months left in the year, let’s remind ourselves of the goals that matter to us—and, as a community, help Winning Futures reach their fundraising objectives so more students can achieve their life goals. ✅ Enter this prompt in the AI you use most often: "Based on what you know about me, what will I regret most if I don’t complete it by the end of this year? Explain why, and point to what I’ve shared that led you to that answer. If you don’t have enough context, ask me questions first." ✅ Share Goal in Comments: Share one goal in the comments and one step you’ll take this week. You can agree with your AI or choose something else that matters to you. ❤️ AI Bits & Pieces will donate $1 🌟 About Winning Futures: This organization helps Metro Detroit students build the skills, confidence, and plans to achieve their life and career goals. Thanks for the prompt @Michael Wacht I asked my Hermes Agent which is running on deepseek v4 flash 0731. It seems to know me quite well. It said: "Based on everything you've shared, I'd put my money on this: the Attuned website - specifically getting the landing page live on <my website url> before the year closes. It's the only major piece where you've already done the expensive, hard work and then stopped one step short of the payoff." "...No site means the pipeline that page is meant to start simply doesn't exist yet. ... and every month you don't, you're not building that inbound." Ouch. It knows I'm also working on another project at the moment, but I think it would take only a little more refinement before I can push it out into the wild, so I'll try get that done this week even if only version 1. It's a new business and I'm very very nervous about launching before I feel ready.
