📌 Day 13 – There are five people in my family
Today we learned how to say how many people are in your family: ✅ 我家有五口人。(wǒ jiā yǒu wǔ kǒu rén) — There are five people in my family. 📝 Your tasks: 1️⃣ Write today’s focus characters. 2️⃣ Write and say sentences about your family. For example: 👉 我家有四口人:爸爸、妈妈、哥哥和我。 👉 我有两个妹妹。 3️⃣ Share a family photo or draw a simple picture of your family members, and introduce them in Mandarin. 💡 Pro Tip: In Mandarin, family members are usually listed with males first, then females (e.g. 哥哥 before 姐姐). 📣 One last thing: Reply to someone’s post with a friendly comment, e.g. “你的家很可爱!(nǐ de jiā hěn kě’ài!) — Your family is lovely!” 🤗

Today we learned how to ask and answer someone’s age in Mandarin: ✅ 你几岁?(nǐ jǐ suì?) — How old are you? (for children) ✅ 你多大?(nǐ duō dà?) — How old are you? (for teens/adults) ✅ 我…岁。 (wǒ … suì) — I am … years old. ✨ Your tasks: 1️⃣ Write today’s focus characters (几、岁、多、大). 2️⃣ Post a photo of your handwriting. If you can, add an audio or video introducing your age with 我…岁. 💡 Pro Tip: Add 你呢?(nǐ ne?) after your answer to keep the conversation flowing naturally. 📣 Don’t forget to cheer on your classmates — reply to someone’s post and practice together. 📌 Day 9 – Numbers 1 to 10
Today we learned Chinese numbers 1–10 (一到十), their meanings, and even hand gestures used in daily life! 🎉 ✨ Fun Fact: 💰 8 (bā) sounds like fā (发) = wealth, so it’s very lucky! ☠️ 4 (sì) sounds like sǐ (死) = death, so it’s unlucky. 📝 Your tasks: 1️⃣ Practice writing numbers 一 to 十. ✍️ 2️⃣ Take a photo of your notes, show your hand gestures 🤲 or record yourself using Vocaroo counting them out loud in Mandarin. 3️⃣ Post it with the hashtag #MandarinHero30 🔥 Let’s see who can count the fastest and the clearest in Mandarin!
