📌 Day 24 – She has long hair
Today we learned how to describe appearance in Mandarin using the structure: 👉 [Person] + 有 (yǒu) + [adjective] + [body part]. ✨ Key words from today: - 头发 (tóu fa) = hair - 眼睛 (yǎn jing) = eyes - 耳朵 (ěr duo) = ears - 嘴巴 (zuǐ ba) = mouth - 鼻子 (bí zi) = nose - 大 (dà) = big - 小 (xiǎo) = small - 长 (cháng) = long - 短 (duǎn) = short Examples: - 她有长头发。 (tā yǒu cháng tóu fa.) — She has long hair. - 他有大眼睛。 (tā yǒu dà yǎn jing.) — He has big eyes. 📝 Your tasks: 1️⃣ Remember to use today’s practice sheet and follow the stroke order for all the characters. 2️⃣ Write 3 sentences describing appearance (e.g. 她有长头发。 他有大眼睛。爸爸有小耳朵。). 3️⃣ Post a photo of your handwriting. If you can, share a quick audio (record yourself using Vocaroo) or video saying your three sentences aloud. 💡 Pro Tip: Try combining what you learned yesterday with today — for example:👉 妹妹有长头发,她喜欢穿红色连衣裙。 📣 One last thing: Reply to someone’s post to cheer them on — learning together makes it more fun!

📌 Day 18 – I want burger
Today we learned how to order food in Mandarin using 我要… (wǒ yào …) = “I want …”. For example: 👉 我要汉堡包。 (wǒ yào hàn bǎo bāo) — I want burger. 👉 我要饺子。 (wǒ yào jiǎo zi) — I want dumplings. 👉 我要面条。 (wǒ yào miàn tiáo) — I want noodles. These phrases are lifesavers when you’re hungry in a Chinese restaurant! 📝 Your tasks: 1️⃣ Remember to use today’s practice sheet and follow the stroke order for all the characters. 2️⃣ Write 我要+your favourite food。 3️⃣ Post a photo of your handwriting. If you can, share a quick audio (record yourself using Vocaroo) or video saying: 👉 我要点菜。我要... 💡 Pro Tip: Saying “我要…” with confidence makes your Mandarin sound natural and clear. 📣 One last thing: Reply to someone’s post and ask them what food they ordered in Mandarin — let’s build a fun food menu together! 🍜🍕🥟
