@Erika Bogan-Mtui thank you for the sentiment, but relief isn’t coming. Always forward
Mood = Weather
If your mood today was weather, what would it be? • Sunny • Cloudy • Thunderstorm • Foggy • A random rainbow No explanation needed… unless you want to.

Today Is Enough
Today doesn’t have to be perfect to matter. You don’t have to solve everything. You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to feel strong every moment of the day. Sometimes the win is simply continuing. Taking one step. Sending one message. Getting through one hard moment without giving up. If today feels heavy, let it be what it is without adding pressure to “fix” it. And if today feels good, allow yourself to fully feel that too. Wherever you are right now… it counts. If you have the space, share one thing you’re choosing to focus on today.

Doing it alone
When Your Mind Won’t Slow Down
Have you ever had one of those days where your mind just keeps going? Replaying conversations.Overthinking decisions.Jumping ahead to things that haven’t even happened yet. It can feel exhausting. Something simple that can help in those moments is gently bringing yourself back to right now. You can try this: Look around and name: • 5 things you can see • 4 things you can touch • 3 things you can hear • 2 things you can smell • 1 thing you can taste No pressure to do it perfectly. It’s just a way to remind your mind and body that you are here, in this moment, and you are safe to pause. If your mind has been busy lately, you’re not alone in that. If you have something that helps you when your thoughts feel overwhelming, share it below. Someone else here might need it today.

That is everyday
I’ve been a little quiet here lately and it reminded me of something we talk about in Emotional Regulation 101:
You can’t regulate an emotion your body doesn’t feel safe enough to experience. When life gets full, intense, or demanding, the nervous system shifts into protection mode. In those moments, presence doesn’t always look like showing up everywhere at once — sometimes it looks like slowing down. When emotions feel “too big,” it’s not because we’re failing. It’s because the body has moved into survival. That’s why telling ourselves to calm down or push through rarely works. Regulation doesn’t start in the mind. It starts in the body. If you’ve noticed yourself pulling back lately, it’s not a flaw. It may be your nervous system asking for safety before connection. What’s one signal your body gives you when it needs to slow down?
