🎉 PMP® Certified 🎉
After weeks of studying, quizzing, mindset battles, mock exams, and asking “why not C?” every other day 😀 I’m happy to say that I am officially PMP® certified! This journey was definitely not a solo one. A huge thank you to my amazing study buddies who made the process less stressful and a lot more enjoyable. The discussions, encouragement, accountability, and knowledge sharing made a huge difference. Special shoutout to: @Crystal Harris for kicking off the lucky group 😀 @Karen Persad @Jason Scoresby @Anthony Manalo @Cathy Denison @emma @annabel You all are rockstars! 💪🏽 Special thanks as well to @Andrew Ramdayal for the excellent Udemy course and mindset training that helped me approach the exam with confidence. To everyone still studying: keep going. There were days I felt overwhelmed, but consistency wins. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to enjoy not opening Study Hall for a while 😂🥳🏆 P.S While I did get a huge burger today, I’ll definitely be getting myself some cake this weekend 😂 #PMP #PMPCertified #ProjectManagement #ATATT

Ringing in birthday #25 PMP®️ certified! 🥳🍰
Consider this my excuse to eat double cake all week long 😂 Ok, now the sappy part: When I started this journey back in January, I thought the biggest challenge would be learning the project management concepts and frameworks. But looking back, the biggest lesson I’m taking away is that growth often happens when we step into something before we feel completely ready. We have to be willing to keep showing up imperfectly, because we’re capable of doing hard things. Four years ago, when I graduated with degrees in ESL education and Spanish, I never imagined project management would become part of my story. I moved to Colombia to launch an English program, and through that experience, I discovered that I loved the work happening behind the scenes — building systems, solving problems, coordinating projects, leading a team, and bringing ideas to life. The PMP was never part of a plan I had mapped out, but looking back, I’m grateful to see how each step along the way prepared me for this moment. This journey also reminded me that there is never a perfect time to pursue a goal. There will always be busy seasons, competing priorities, and reasons to wait. This process was not picture-perfect. A lot of my studying happened after long workdays, from my bed, on the couch, and in the small moments I could find. It wasn’t always how I imagined it would look, but I learned that growth doesn’t happen when conditions are perfect — it happens when you choose to keep going anyway. I’m incredibly grateful for my study group @Crystal Harris @Karen Persad @Precious Akpan @Annabel Bryant @Jason Scoresby @Anthony Manalo, friends, and family who supported me throughout this journey, and for the way God has quietly guided my path in ways I never could have planned myself. Cheers to continuing to learn, grow, and embrace the unexpected paths along the way. 🚀

22/6 it's my date
Hi everyone, I’m taking the PMP exam on June 22 and I’d appreciate advice for my final week of preparation. I completed PMP 35 PDU's preparation, except the mock exam, and I've read PMP Exam Prepp Simplified book, I completed Andrew Ramdayal’s six 60-question mock exams, mostly scoring above 75%, with some scores around 80% and one at 90%. I’m also using PMI Study Hall, but I find it harder. I completed 7 practice categories and 5 mini exams. My scores are all above 50%, with one mini exam at 87%. My availability is: - Tomorrow: full day - Tuesday to Friday: 2.5 hours per day - Final weekend: available for review and practice Given where I am, what should I focus on now: more mocks, reviewing mistakes, Study Hall, agile/hybrid mindset, formulas, or weak areas? It's usefull trying to do 200 hard questions? Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance for any advice. Ma. Laura.

In my opinion you don’t have time, don’t be overwhelmed 1. Digest the mindset and know how to flag off red words like “fire, do nothing, ask the sponsor so you can use that to eliminate options faster in the exam 2. Do the 200 ultra hard questions after the mindset digest so you can weigh your strengths, pause answer before seeing his answer 3. If you can try to understand the process flow and what they each mean, not memorize, understand - I attached the one I screenshot from David below Good luck
Iteration Backlogs
I have searched the other posts but can't find the answer to my question. For iteration backlogs, can a product owner contribute to it? I thought it was only supposed to be the team doing the prioritizing of the iteration (PO prioritizes the product backlog). Or is it the initial iteration backlog is created by the team and if it need reprioritizing then the PO can help? Please help me understand.

Short answer in my understanding is “Yes” a PO can contribute but he/she does not prioritize the iteration backlog independently. The Product Owner can contribute to the Sprint/Iteration Backlog discussion. Now the Development Team creates and owns the Sprint/Iteration Backlog because remember they are the ones doing the work not the PO and so the Product Owner does not unilaterally prioritize or assign work within the Sprint Backlog but can they contribute ? Yes @Christina Cwalinski
Anyone Preparing for PMP Before the July Update?
Anyone else aiming to take the PMP exam before the July update? I'm currently on the PMP preparation journey as well, and I know how overwhelming it can feel with the deadline approaching. I've been exchanging resources, study approaches, and preparation insights with other aspirants along the way. If you're preparing too and would like to connect, exchange resources, or discuss your study plan, feel free to reach out. We're all trying to get through this together!

@Hena Siddiqui you don’t need to memorize it, just understand what they each do and a bit of what process leads to another. I took my exam and passed yesterday and I think I got no question on the ITTOs directly. Keep going and don’t let it dim your confidence 🎉

@Hena Siddiqui I didn’t use the 720 udemy mock, I used the study hall and simulator but a colleague @Karen Persad who used the 720 questions only passed the exam and she said the 720 questions were very effective, good luck!
