Hello Fellow ADHD Founders
Hey everyone . My name is Pourya Babalou... I am the Founder of a Film Distribution technology startup based in London called LePrince. We help indie filmmakers and smaller distribution companies get their films to the right audience on the big screen. I was first diagnosed with ADHD 14 years ago in my hometown in Iran and I have been managing my ADHD for a long time. I am always looking for ways to learn how to manage my ADHD better and I hope to learn somethings here. I should say that although there are a lot of challenges, I see my ADHD as a blessing and It's like a superpower that I wouldn't want to get rid of. having said that there are a lot of things that i want to learn to live with in a better way. the biggest challenges are: - inconsistancy in how much time i can put into different things - being chronically late to everything - not being able to stick to my plans and always working on the wrong thing. For example I have been up since last night because I should be filing my taxes and sending a new contract to my new client (because I promised them i will send it last night) but instead i went down a rabbit hole of learning how to create a AI automation tool and agent. then I designed a new popcorn bucket design and then went down a rabbit hole of finding the right communities on skool to learn the skills i am missing where i found this community. The biggest challenge for me is that I waste time and focus on unimportant things until its too late and then I rush to do two weeks worth of work in a night. P.s. I believe we shouldn't call it ADHD. we should call it DAVE.

@Bill Widmer @Alison St. Romain ADHD says we have an attention deficit disorder. But its not a deficit, we just can’t regulate it. So: Dopamine Attention Variability Executive-dysfunction DAVE Credit to connordewolfe

Hey Family(Filmmaker & Faith Based Coach from Chicago)!
Hey everyone, I'm Bakari Kamal ...a faith-based coach and filmmaker from the South Side of Chicago. I’ve never been officially diagnosed with ADHD, but I’ve always resonated with the symptoms: procrastination, inconsistent focus, and juggling way too many ideas at once. So this community already feels familiar. I run a video production company that preserves Black stories and a Digital Faith coaching brand that helps Kingdom entrepreneurs build purpose-driven businesses. I’m here to learn strategies on how others stay focused, manage overwhelm, and build systems that support the way our brains work. What’s one ADHD-friendly habit or mindset shift that’s helped you the most? Looking forward to connecting! 🙌🏾
