Photo/Video Shoot - Model Response Question
Guys, I got invited by a female teammate for content creation to a photoshoot/music video mixer, in about a week. She is one of the organizers. Right now I'm sending out invites, using a flyer provided by the organizer, Instagram. Another model that I cold DM'ed showed some interest, asking for more information. Which I gave her. Telling her that its a photoshoot and music video session. I gave her the link to the song the video will be based on. This model's last question was "is it paid?". I already messaged by "No, its TFP" (trade for print). Her instagram profile is a business account and some models do have in their bios "dm for rates and booking". My question is, is there a way to word these things so that a model wants to show up without getting paid, but gets value from the photoshoot?

@David Lozano try to see this from a models point of view. Go to a free shoot or a shoot where you'll get the same things, but get paid also.

Ferris wheel photo looks good. Add in a preset to make it pop. Red tunnel photo, number 1, may work better if the camera is directly facing the tunnel itself. City block photo has good composition but overall is ok. Not postable.

@Benjamin Cynamon I get what you're trying to do, but for this kind of photo, its "a walking down the aisle" type. The first pic is what you want. Composition for the second pic is correct yes, your on that third right column but it doesn't look as good. Plus your looking at a bunch of trees.... Not appealing. Guide the viewers gaze to something more interesting.

Here’s some cool photo spots! I shot these solo with my phone + small gorilla tripod in Downtown Tampa at Water Street and the Riverwalk. Feel free to steal!! And ofc lmk what you think!

@Karthik Venkatesan Point of the photos is to show what we have access to and what our lifestyle looks like. if your a hot girl, you can do close up photos all day long. For us guys, its not about us, its about how we live, what we do and the places we go too (cool, tready spots). It helps alot to study the ig testimonials.

@Karthik Venkatesan yes, this dudes awesome and I need to study these photos more for better posing. But check out his story highlights. His ig is for portrait photography, for clients to improve their online dating profiles. Not lifestyle photography for instagram, a different style. Again checkout the testimonials and study them.
To all latino dancers!
Hey guys, I've just started my latino dances course but there aren't lots of latino social events and I take an hour lesson per week(eveey course has only four lesson in a month), to learn salsa and bachata. Let's be honest, it would take 10 years to get good at this with so little practice 😂 So I decided to also train alone, one hour a day. Any advice, tips or tricks to improve faster? 😁 I'm gonna commit 100% to be at the best, like everything I do. Cheers to everyone! 💪

Hi dude, I've social danced salsa and now bachata since before covid. Without knowing what your goal for dance class is, here's some advice: - not a lot of socials to go to - is there a least a social once a month/couple of months? I'd go to each social I could. Class is one thing, actually dancing and for guys, leading, is another. - 10 years to get good? that depends on your goals, to be able to hold your own on the dancefloor, that's about 2-3 years of consistent practice. To have some decent moves for going out, thats only a few months - a lesson a week is common, any legit instructor will give you enough material from one class to practice for a week, even a couple of weeks. - as a beginner, an hour a day is overkill. Just practice a couple of minutes a day, a few days a week. listen to the music ALOT learn where the counts are and what counts go with what instruments - forget the turn patterns and focus on the fundamentals: each of the basic steps, proper weight transfer with each step, body isolations and movement, posture and holding your body up right (these helped me improve more than anything else, your fundamentals make the dance) Any questions?

@Salvador Dalì I'm against private lessons for beginners. If the instructor is any good, they'll give enough material in class to practice for the rest of the week. Later on, when you want to fine tune things and clean up technique, privates will help. Online courses aren't bad. Bachatadanceacademy and this woman EdieTheSalsaFreak give me a great foundation for being a lead (more edie). Online should supplement what you are learning in person. So stick to videos that you can understand right now. Youtube is your friend.
