I've been working remotely and freelancing since 2015, and one of the biggest lessons I've learned is that location freedom and business freedom aren't the same thing. You can technically work from anywhere and still feel completely tied to your laptop. I've been there. The difference came when I stopped thinking only about how to get clients and started thinking about how to build a business that could support the life I actually wanted. That meant: → Creating processes so I wasn't reinventing the wheel for every client. → Setting expectations around communication instead of feeling like I needed to be available 24/7. → Learning how to manage multiple clients without letting everything become an emergency. → Building skills that allowed me to work with clients across different countries and time zones. → And, perhaps most importantly, learning that freedom requires structure. Because ironically, the more freedom I wanted, the more intentional I had to become about how I ran my business. That's something I wish more people talked about when they talk about freelancing and the digital nomad lifestyle. The goal isn't simply to work from anywhere. The goal is to build work that gives you the ability to choose where, when and how you work. The laptop-on-the-beach photo is cute. But being able to take a month-long trip without your income completely falling apart? That's the real flex. Hi Everyone! I have been working full-time as an online English Tutor for more than a year, but I started teaching on the side about 4-5 years ago. I am currently going through a summer break, as the majority of my students are gone for the season. I enjoy teaching, but I want to build up additional income streams to get through times like this, and to upscale my income so that I can travel more. I am thinking voice acting, narration and paid production or songwriting jobs, as I am also a songwriter and music producer. I'm excited to learn how to build up my dream lifestyle. 🥰
