Welcome!
Welcome to the Karate4Dogs Learning Hub. This space will serve as the central platform for all my training content: - courses - workshops - challenges - updates - training breakdowns - upcoming projects Everything I teach will live here in an organised and structured way. More materials will be added soon. Feel free to introduce yourself and your dog, and tell me what you’re currently working on. – Alex

Hi Alex, I’m Petra, based in the Netherlands, and I work as a reward-based dog trainer. I’m active mainly in the sport-dog world, alongside my work with pet dogs and behaviour cases. At the moment I’m training for IGP with my young Dobermann Uzmir (d.o.b. 11 March 2025). While Uzmir is still very much at the beginning of her journey, I’m not new to the sport and we’re focusing on solid foundations, clarity, engagement, and building skills that will hold up later under pressure. I would love to get into Mondioring, but there’s no knowledgeable Mondio group anywhere near me, so I’m working within the options I do have. That said, I’m very drawn to Mondio techniques and the way they challenge both dog and handler: problem-solving, adaptability, pressure without rigidity, beyond fixed pictures. Even without a local Mondio group, I’m keen to implement those principles where I can and translate them into my current training. I’m here mainly to learn, exchange ideas, and keep questioning my own mechanics and choices. Always happy to nerd out about training details and thoughtful application across sports. Looking forward to learning!

I’m finishing Play with Purpose – Second Edition, which builds on the original challenge and goes deeper based on real implementation and the questions that came up from you. Because you’re inside this community, you’ll get free access to the Second Edition when it’s released. Here’s where I need your help. If you’ve already been through Play with Purpose and it changed how you use play, motivation, or structure in training, I’d appreciate a short, honest review. Nothing polished. Just: - where you were before - what shifted - what you do differently now You can leave it here: https://g.page/r/CeTWEis3qMEnEAE/review or in the comments or by email. If you’re also waiting for Heelwork Hackers, community members will get priority access and a loyalty discount when it opens! Thanks to everyone who’s been in this early group — your feedback directly shapes what I build next. — Alex

I have not been a part of Play with purpose, but I followed your Fusion course with SoCS. Really happy with it 🙂
👋 Welcome to the group, you legends
Thanks for jumping in here early – you’re basically the founding members of this community. This space is for all of you who already follow my work and want a place to go a bit deeper together. Please say hi in the comments and share: - Who are you and what dog/dogs you have? - What are you mainly working on right now? - What’s the first thing you’d like to learn here – one topic or problem you want me to cover as soon as possible? Many thanks, Alex
