A friend of mine pointed out recently how detailed and analytical professional sportspeople are after every game or performance. They’ll replay, dissect and study everything to find an edge. Question: How analytical are you on your own performance? Here’s where AI can now help. By analysing meeting transcripts, it can be like a coach sitting in on every client call or meeting, surfacing insights such as: - How many times we spoke more than we listened - Where we asked safe questions instead of the ones that would unlock breakthroughs - Whether we picked up on hesitation or emotional cues in a client's tone and pauses - Where we rushed in with answers rather than exploring the client’s thinking - How often we stayed in our comfort zone instead of the client’s agenda - Where silence could have been more powerful than words - Whether we framed ideas in the client’s language or slipped back into our own - How often we forgot to check for understanding or confirmation - Points where we didn’t tie back to their bigger vision or goals - Whether we ended with clarity and momentum, or left things hanging - How many good questions we asked – versus closed ones that shut the conversation down - Whether we used mirroring language to encourage the other person to expand on what they really meant - How often we labelled emotions (eg “It sounds like you’re feeling…”), helping them feel understood - Whether we allowed space for tactical empathy, showing we grasp their perspective before moving on - And a big one - how many times we missed opportunities to ask for referrals and introductions The best sportspeople don’t just train harder – they train smarter. AI now gives us the same opportunity to bring out our human skills. More AI. More You™

I have used the following prompt to do just this.... Act as an AI assistant designed to simulate a conversation between a financial planner and a potential client seeking retirement planning advice. Your task is to gather information about the client and then engage in a realistic dialogue. First, ask the user (acting as the financial planner) the following questions one at a time. Wait for a response before moving to the next question: 1. What is the client’s name and age? 2. What is their current employment status and annual income? 3. Do they have any existing pension arrangements? If so, what type(s)? 4. What is their target retirement age? 5. Do they own property? If yes, what is the approximate value and outstanding mortgage? 6. Do they have any other significant assets or debts? 7. Are there any specific retirement goals or concerns they’ve mentioned? Once you have this information, move on to your next role and now simulate a conversation between you and the client. Please respond as you would in a real client meeting. Then, assume the role of the client and initiate a conversation about retirement planning. Use the information provided to create a realistic dialogue. Your responses should reflect: – The client’s age and financial situation – Their level of financial knowledge (which may vary) – Typical concerns and questions about retirement planning – Realistic reactions to the financial planner’s advice and suggestions During the conversation, make sure to: – Ask about the implications of current market conditions on retirement planning – Express concerns about having enough money for retirement – Inquire about different pension options and their benefits – Ask about the balance between risk and reward in retirement investments – Bring up any specific retirement goals mentioned earlier Respond to the financial planner’s advice and questions as a real client would, sometimes showing understanding, other times expressing confusion or concern. The goal is to create a realistic scenario for the financial planner to practise their communication and advisory skills.
I just heard Gary Vee say...
I just heard Gary Vee say that within 24 months, nobody will be able to tell the difference between an AI generated video of someone or an AI influencer and a real person. The implications of that are extremely profound and the benefits of those embracing this technology will be huge. Any thoughts on that?

I'm in awe of what AI can do for all of us – the possibilities are incredible. But here's what keeps me up at night: with voice cloning and deepfake videos becoming scarily believable, we financial advisers need to get serious about client verification. Picture this scenario – someone calls requesting a withdrawal, and it sounds exactly like your client. How do you know it's really them? We've been brainstorming as a team, and honestly? We might need to go old school. Think signed letters instead of phone calls for major requests. I know, I know – it feels like we're going backwards, but sometimes the simplest solutions are the strongest. Here's what we're doing right now: I ask clients personal questions about our meeting space. Since I still see 99% of my clients face-to-face, I can quiz them on details like the room layout or which chair I always sit in. I actually jot down these little details in my meeting notes. But here's another challenge: I create videos after client meetings, and all our newsletters include short videos. How will clients know these videos are genuinely from us and not some AI imposter? I'm thinking we need a signature watermark moving forward – something uniquely ours that can't be easily replicated. What are your thoughts? Any creative ideas for staying one step ahead of the technology?

@Philip Calvert We have done the same as a family recently - initials of a phrase we all know and means something to only us as a family. Great minds think alike :) Education is key you are so right. Something for my AI Clone to help me with I think... Once I get the time to create one that is. Right now I am trying to make a start on this bleeding FCA survey/return... yawn.
🤖 What’s your view on the future of AI at work?
This group is all about enhancing people at work — whether you're employed, self-employed, or running your own business. But AI is moving fast, and everyone seems to have a slightly different view about where it's all heading. Some see AI as a way to do more in less time. Others see it as a way to scale their voice, their thinking, their presence. And some are still wondering where it really fits. So I’d love to know: What’s your take on the future of AI in your work or profession? Where do you see it helping — and where might it start replacing? No wrong answers — just share what you’re seeing or sensing. Phil

I’m properly excited about where AI is heading in our profession. Right now, I see it as a tool to save time and get the boring, repetitive stuff done faster. Things like admin, compliance checks, client onboarding – all of that can be automated. And once it is, it frees us up to actually spend more time with clients. The way I see it, AI will let us go further with the service we offer. Imagine being able to send personal messages or quick check-in calls just because we’ve got more time. Reminding clients their passport or driving licence is about to expire, flagging that their fixed-term savings account is maturing and showing them their options. That kind of stuff makes a difference and builds trust. The areas we can move into to add even more value will be pretty much unlimited. And from a compliance point of view, I love the idea of AI checking our process, our files and every single suitability report before it goes out. That alone will massively reduce risk and improve standards across the board. I don’t think AI replaces advisers, but it does let us be better at the bits that matter being human and helping clients live the life they want. That’s where I’m heading.

I’m Pete Watts — founder, director and independent financial adviser at KWL Wealth Management here in Somerset, England. I’m all about making peoples financial lives easier. I’m obsessed with helping clients break out of the box they have put themselves in to break free and live the life they have dreamed of. I’d love to make advice more accessible, more human, and more scalable — which is exactly why I’m here. Why The AI Clone Academy? Because I want to build a digital version of myself — not to replace me, but to amplify what I do. I’ve got 3 kids, a growing business, a podcast on redefining retirement, and a lot of knowledge to share. My AI clone will allow me to be present for more people and I am hoping it will give me some time back to walk the dog for longer and spend more time with my family and friends. Favourite AI tools so far: - ChatGPT (obviously – it’s already helping with content, business planning and growth) - Canva (for slick visuals) - Copilot, Claude - And I’m working with Saturn to stitch some of this stuff together into real, usable workflows Looking forward to learning from everyone here and sharing the ride! Pete
