@Loreen Pawlak thanks for the comment. Yes it has been just in the last two months. My wife and I undertook a Camino walk in Spain in 2017. I started a painting when we returned but just couldn't finish the work. The more I tried to fix things the muddier and thicker the paint got. It wasn't until I came across Sam's on line tutorials ...limited pallet, planned approach to constructing a painting, tonal values etc that I had the encouragement to try again. I have been sketching on and off for some years but never had the confidence to begin a painting...I have been surprised by how the first painting turned out and now I just want to do more...
