I have been quiet lately. Returned this evening from a silent retreat, with the Companions of Christ the Lamb, northwest of Paradise Michigan. 2 full days immersed in God's creation, all needs were provided for, Mass, confession, spiritual direction, time to be with God, the saints, and angels. It was a simple life, 8x10 ft cabin, no running water, wood stove to stay warm, and peace and quite. I was a bit fidgety initially, but settled in. The experience and insights have me returning to my life, appreciating the little things, desireing to simplify, and wanting to stay close to God throughout the day. I was given some insightful direction for my spiritual growth, and look forward to more encounters regarding my true purpose on earth. May peace be with each of you, today and this week as together we continue to find our inner monk.

@Steven Lawson This was not my first sikent retreat, but the setting and simplicity of the weekend provided a new experience for me. Not having a schedule can be a challenge fore me, as I live with daily scheduled time from 8am-5pm at work. Mass, rosesy, morning prayer, and evening prayer, along with meals were the only scheduled activities, and all were optional. The prompting of the Holy spirit was my guide for the weekend. Including a 3:00 am wake up call to get out of bed, move to a chair, put a log on the fire, and pray for a couple hours. Then back to bed for a few more restful hours. So different from my daily routine. Steven have you been on a Silent retreat? If so, where have you done them?

Outgrowing Productivity Good Morning!, Started this morning by watching the video, and grateful for the excahanges and information, ideas and inspirations, and for a community to help me grow. So many of the conversations resonated with me, and my past or current sitiuation. Steven, thank you for being courageous to follow your inspirations, and being generous in your gift of time. I look forward to what the future holds for all of us. Blessings, Pete
