Hello Everyone! I’m Diane and I'm currently writing my first novel. My story is inspired by the wild, unpredictable world of reality TV. I’m here to connect, collaborate, and share. I’d love to hear from you—what’s your favorite reality TV show?

Hi Diane! That sounds like such a fun concept for a novel šŸŽ‰ Reality TV is full of twists that definitely make for great storytelling. For me, I’d say Shark Tank always keeps me hooked, so many lessons and drama packed in one show. Which reality show inspired your story the most? šŸ‘€šŸ“ŗ

@Diane Brunet Oh, Bar Rescue, that’s such a brilliant pick, Diane! šŸø The mix of drama, tension, and transformation really does lend itself perfectly to storytelling. I can already imagine how those high-stakes moments translate into a page-turning romance. Excited to see how your book unfolds! By the way, I’d love to contribute to the successful launch of your book. If you’d be open to it, I can offer support with editing, formatting, proofreading, or even publishing, those are areas I specialize in and can handle perfectly.

@Diane Brunet HišŸ‘‹ absolutely, you nailed it, marketing truly is the bridge that connects the story to the reader’s heart. Out of curiosity, have you published any books so far, or are you mainly focused on helping other authors bring theirs to life?

@Diane Brunet That’s exciting, Diane! šŸŽ‰ Working on your own book is such a rewarding journey. What stage are you currently in; writing, editing, formatting, proofreading, or polishing things up for publishing?

@Kricket Moros I can totally relate, getting everything set up across formats can feel overwhelming at first. One tip is to focus on one format at a time (usually Kindle first, since Amazon makes it a bit more straightforward), then repurpose that file for print and audio. Tools like KDP’s print service and ACX for audiobooks can make the process smoother without needing a vanity press. Have you already tried starting with Kindle and working outward from there?

@Joanah Steele Great question, Joanah! šŸ‘ For me, one of the biggest challenges most authors have is navigating the marketing side. Writing the book feels natural, but getting it into readers’ hands can be overwhelming. Curious to hear what others will share too. It’s always eye-opening to see the different struggles Authors face in this journey.
5 Radio Shows Just Asked Me For Authors To Interview
Every day, I receive emails from radio shows, podcasts, newspapers, magazines, and TV shows looking for authors to interview. Which of those media channels interests you the most?

That’s incredible! šŸš€ Personally, I’d be most interested in podcasts and TV shows, podcasts for the depth of conversation and TV for the wider reach. Both seem like powerful ways to connect with readers on a personal level. Curious, which one do you see most authors thriving in?
What's Your Pie?
I used to enjoy watching The Food Network's show The Next Food Network Star. One season, they had a contestant who stood out from all the others, Rodney the Pie Man. Rodney didn't stand out because he was the best cook. He stood out because he had a signature look, and he ALWAYS made pies. If the challenge was to make a savory dish, Rodney made a savory pie. If the challenge was to make an appetizer, Rodney made a pie appetizer. If the challenge was to make a cocktail, Rodney made a pie-flavored cocktail. Rodney had a hook. Pies. His hook made him memorable. Rodney also stood out because he ALWAYS wore a hat and a cool shirt. One day, I was shopping in Target in West Melbourne, Florida. It's a small town with a population of around 20,000 people, and it is adjacent to my hometown. As I pushed my cart through the men's clothing department, guess who I saw? Rodney the Pie Man. The Food Network is in New York City. Rodney lives in Baltimore. The last person I would ever expect to see shopping in West Melbourne was Rodney. Do you know how I recognized him? He was wearing a hat and a cool shirt. We talked for a while. He was here visiting his son, and they were shopping for some school clothes. I can't even remember the names of any of the other contestants or the winner. I wouldn't recognize any of them even if they knocked on my door. But I recognized Rodney immediately. As a writer, what is YOUR pie? What makes you stand out? What do you want to be known for? Think about it, and then go make a pie.

This is such a powerful reminder šŸ™Œ. Rodney proved that consistency and a unique hook can make you unforgettable, even more than being 'the best.' As a writer, I think my ā€˜pie’ is creating content that feels simple, human, and relatable, whether it’s for books, courses, or brand storytelling. That’s what I want people to instantly recognize me for. Still working on wearing the ā€˜cool shirt’ though šŸ˜….
