Today's question is...if you could solar-power only one appliance in your home, which would it be? My answer is a water pump! I have been without this when living off-grid, in my tiny house on wheels, and I tell you what it's not fun carrying water for everything. 😉🙃

My name is Simon Gibbs, and I began DCI Industries in 2010 in Australia as an electrical trade business. In 2012, I began getting into solar and then into off-grid solar systems. Since then, I have built DCI Industries with the focus to "make renewable energy better". Part of my commitment to making renewable energy better is this community. I want to create a community where people can learn and expand their knowledge and skills around off-grid solar power systems and other renewable energy technologies. 📗The Rules 1. No solicitation. If you have not been pre-approved by the admin team to post about your own business, then doing so will get you removed from the group. If you post anything that is designed to get people to move away from this group or to sell anything (without pre-approval), you will be removed from the group. 2. Be kind. There is no need for any unkind comments. If you see something that you think goes against the group rules or ethics, please report it to the admins. We can deal with things directly. 3. No bullying, hate speech or derogatory comments. There is just no need for it. If someone is putting up their opinion that seems to be way off track or really untrue, tag one of the admins in the comments, and we will make any kind of public correction. Most of the time, it is just someone who needs to be kindly educated, not screamed at. Let us handle that. 4. Discussion is welcome.
