Good evening to you all. We have just relieased the following module in the "Downloads & Resources" section called "Australian Equipment Compliance". This is obviously specific to the Australian market but this is how you make sure that the solar equipment you are planning to use is compliant and able to be signed off. If you require an electrical certificate then the equipment you use must be "fit for purpose" and "approved for use" in the situation you intend to use. For example, you can not use a hybrid inverter in an off grid situation. It is also a requiement that the solar panels you plan to use are on the approved equipment list otherwise you will also be installing a 'non-compliant' system. This new module gives you an overview of this information plus direct links to the approved equipment list for solar panels, inverters and BESS (Battery Energy Storage System). BESS are pre-assembled lithium battery systems such as the BYD HVM battery stacks. Individual lead acid, AGM and Gel batteries, plus individual lithium batteries are not restricted under this approval system so most off grid battery systems don't apply to this list, but most hybrid battery systems will. Let us know if there are specific questions that you have around this topic.
