Most people spend years trying to escape a life they unknowingly created. Not because they wanted it. But because their identity created it. Every decision you’ve made… Every opportunity you’ve ignored… Every relationship you’ve tolerated… Every habit you’ve repeated… Has been filtered through the story you believe about who you are. If you see yourself as someone who always struggles… You’ll find evidence to prove it. If you believe you’re not confident enough… You’ll avoid the very situations that could build confidence. If you identify as someone who never finishes what they start… Your behaviour will keep that identity alive. Your current reality isn’t random. It’s the natural consequence of the identity you’ve been reinforcing every day. The difficult truth is this: You can’t permanently escape a reality that your identity keeps recreating. The breakthrough doesn’t happen when your circumstances change. It happens when your identity changes. Because when you become someone new… You begin making different decisions.
