X (Twitter Posts)
Looking for advice from coaches, recruiters, and parents. How often should a student-athlete post on X during the recruiting process? Is it better to follow a structured plan (practice, games, training, academics, community service, etc.), or just post naturally when there's something worth sharing? Also, for multi-sport athletes, does it seem like your in-season sport ends up taking over most of your posts? How do you balance promoting your primary sport while still showing you're a well-rounded athlete?

Great question, David. For most student-athletes, 2–3 quality posts per week is a solid baseline. Consistency matters, but quality always beats volume. If you’re more active, that can help too, since platforms like X reward it. A mix of structure and natural posting works best. Have core themes (games, training, academics, etc.), but only post when there’s something meaningful to share. For multi-sport athletes, it’s normal for your in-season sport to dominate. Just be intentional in the offseason about highlighting your primary sport. Focus on clips that show transferable traits like speed and explosiveness. Keep it simple, consistent, and easy for coaches to quickly evaluate you.
