This is a great way to build consistency and community around the process. I like the focus on collaboration job searching can feel isolating, so having a shared space where people can learn and improve together makes a big difference. Looking forward to watching the replay and learning from it.

@Jason Smallheer Absolutely, I will. What stood out to me is how much accountability and community can change the entire job search experience. Sometimes a small shift in approach or mindset makes a bigger difference than people expect. I'm curious to see what insights come from the replay and how others apply them in their own journey. Looking forward to comparing notes afterward. 😊
From Applying Everywhere to Becoming the Candidate Companies Chase
I’ve gone through the idea behind this community, and I really respect the approach. Most job seekers are stuck in the same cycle — apply, wait, hope, repeat. But this shifts the focus completely: instead of competing with everyone else, you position yourself as the obvious choice. What stood out to me is the emphasis on treating yourself like a brand, not just a candidate. That mindset alone changes how you show up in the job market. I’m curious about something: When people join, what’s usually the biggest struggle they face first — is it positioning themselves, confidence, or knowing how to stand out in a crowded market? Looking forward to learning from the group and understanding how people are breaking out of the “apply and wait” cycle.

@Jason Smallheer I agree. It's surprising how many talented people struggle with imposter syndrome. Sometimes the hardest part is simply giving yourself permission to be seen and trusting that you belong in the room. Growth usually starts right outside our comfort zone. 🙌😊
You’re Not Just Another Candidate
When you walk into an interview knowing the company’s specific problems, and you show you’re the person who can solve them, you stand out from other candidates. You’re the one who gets it. That’s how you move from “maybe” to “you’re hired.” #InterviewTips #JobSearch #CareerAdvice #60DaysToHired #TheMarketingProfessor

You’re not just another candidate when you understand what the company is actually trying to solve. Most people show up focused on themselves their experience, their resume, their goals. But the candidates who stand out are the ones who show up already thinking like part of the team. When you can clearly speak to the company’s problems and connect yourself to real solutions, the conversation shifts. You’re no longer being compared to everyone else — you’re being seen as someone who already fits the role. That’s what moves you from being considered… to being chosen.

This is a really practical and focused session. What stands out is the clarity on strategy not just applying broadly, but identifying the right decision-maker and learning how to approach them properly. That alone can completely change how effective a job search becomes. Looking forward to going through the replay and learning the steps in more detail.
Stop Hoping, Start Targeting
Most job searches still look like this: Click. Apply. Hope. Click. Apply. Hope again. The issue often isn’t your resume. It’s more about who you contact. HR and recruiters matter, but they mainly filter candidates. The real decision is usually made by the hiring manager who needs someone to solve a problem. If you contact hiring managers directly, you stop being just another resume. You become someone they remember. #JobSearch #HiringManagers #CareerStrategy #60DaysToHired #JobSeekers #TheMarketingProfessor

This is a really important shift in mindset. The “apply and hope” cycle is exactly where most candidates get stuck, even when they’re qualified. Focusing on who actually makes the hiring decision changes the whole strategy. What stands out is the emphasis on targeting with intention rather than volume. When outreach is done directly and thoughtfully, it naturally creates more visibility and stronger conversations than mass applications ever could.
