Love this approach, Marilyn. So many people want to get healthier but feel overwhelmed trying to figure everything out on their own. Having someone who understands the challenges of a busy life and can provide clear guidance can make all the difference. Excited to see the lives you'll help transform! 💪🙌
What even is a macro? 🤷‍♀️
Macros (Macronutrients) are what fuel our bodies for our basic needs, down to the cellar level! Protein, Carbohydrates and Fat. Macros are different for everyone! Odds are, you will never find someone else with the exact same macros needs as you! Comment any questions you have regarding your macros! Have you ever heard about them? Protein: How we build muscle and maintain muscle and it plays an important part in hormone fluctuations, creating enzymes, and immune system antibodies! Carbohydrates: The energy we burn throughout the day. Carbs are the instant energy source for our body. They also aid in digestion (fiber), support heart health, and allow energy to be stored in muscle, and our liver. Whether we're working out or just living, we NEED carbs! Fat: Our secondary, long term, energy source! Once we run through our carbs, we start to burn Fat for energy! It also allows the body to absorb vitamins, insulate organs, and produce hormones! All that to say, a balanced diet is ideal, even in a calorie deficit!

This is a great explanation. I think a lot of people hear the word "macros" and assume it's something complicated, when it's really about giving our bodies the right balance of nutrients to function at their best. I especially appreciate the reminder that carbs aren't the enemy they play an important role in energy and overall health. Thanks for breaking it down in such an easy-to-understand way! 👏💪
Know who you're working with! Been there, done that!
Hey guys! I wanted to come on here and give my testimony. It's important to me that you know who you're working with and that I'm in your corner! In July 2025 I was 250lbs. I felt like garbage and very little motivation to change. That was until my daughter climbed the stairs for the first time. She was completelyfine and giggling, but I couldn't get to her fast enough and by the time I did I was was so out of breath that if something did happen, I wouldn't have been much help. At that point, I knew something had to change. It was her safety at stake. I came across counting Macros from a podcast my husband listens to. I figured that i had tried all the other fad things, whats one more? Ill give it a month and see if there's change. THERE WAS! I dropped 15lbs in the first 2 weeks! 30lbs by the end of 3 months! But then I hit a stand still. I looked everywhere and it was either faulse information or had an outrageous price tag. I decided to look into becoming a nutrition and fitness coach. If nothing else, it would give me the information for myself, right? I have just enough money to buy the courses and a new laptop. Fast forward to now, I am a fully certified ISSA Master Trainer in Nutrition, strength and conditioning, building glutes, tactical training, and exercise therapy! Im down 60lbs and in my reverse diet phase to get back up to my maintenance calories! If you would have e told me back in July that I would be HERE, I would have laughed in your face! Im more confident, capable and a better wife and mother because I got healthy! Please reach out, so I can help you do that same!

The Goal Is Bigger Than the Scale
What stood out to me in Marilyn’s story is that the turning point wasn’t a number on a scale — it was a moment with her child. That’s what makes fitness journeys powerful. The real motivation is often deeper than weight loss: having energy, feeling strong, being present for family, and showing up fully in life. Losing 60lbs through consistency and healthy habits is incredible, but the mindset behind it is what inspires me most. Sustainable change comes from daily decisions, not extreme shortcuts. I’m new here, and I’m excited to learn from everyone’s experiences. One thing I’m curious about: What’s been the biggest mindset shift that helped you stay consistent with your health or fitness goals?
