Saturday September 19 is our first Group Mock Exam Day, and I want the whole group in on it. Here is the plan. On September 19, cissp.app is open to everyone, free, no subscription needed. Midnight to midnight Eastern you can sit a real adaptive CISSP mock exam, 100 to 150 questions, up to 3 hours, the same engine paying members use, and get a domain-by-domain breakdown at the end. You will be working from a new curated question bank built for the day: 500 questions across all eight CISSP domains, 100 easy, 250 medium and 150 hard, updated for ISC2's official AI exam guidance published September 1. It stays in cissp.app after the event. Kickoff, Saturday 3:00pm Eastern. We will host a live kickoff on Google Meet, the link is in your enrollment confirmation. Log in together, last-minute questions, then everyone goes and sits the exam. If you cannot make 3:00pm, you can start any time that day. Everyone who signs up goes on the public board at cissp.app/mock-exam-day, and as the day goes on it shows who has started and who has finished. Real names or a handle, up to you. No scores on the board, just who showed up and who finished, which is the part that matters. Afterwards. Take your weakest two or three domains to a study group session the week after, while it is all still fresh. Bring someone! The day is open to everyone, so send cissp.app/mock-exam-day to anyone you know who is studying for the CISSP. No subscription needed, and they will not be sitting it alone. Hello all, I am excited to share that I have passed the CISSP exam. I want to thank everyone in this community who takes the time to answer questions, share their knowledge and encourage others. I (@ Capri in group sessions) have passed the CISSP at 100 Questions with 50 mins time & 50 questions remaining, it was my first attempt, I was keeping it postponing from Mar 2026, thinking I lacked preperations every time when tried to press the exam appointment confirm button. The CISSP journey was demanding - requiring consistency, discipline, and a strong conceptual foundation. It reinforced that cybersecurity is not just about tools and technologies, but about strategy, governance, and protecting organizational value.

105 questions, 45 minutes left on the clock. After failing in February, I've provisionally passed. What changed between February and today: Mindset shift — I stopped thinking like a technician and started thinking like a manager. Every question, I asked myself: "What would a CISO advise?" not "What would I configure?" This was the single biggest change. Reading discipline — More than half my practice errors came from misreading questions, not from lack of knowledge. I trained myself to identify the qualifier (FIRST, BEST, PRIMARY), any constraints (budget, minimal impact), and dual requirements (balance X with Y) BEFORE looking at the answers. Trust your first instinct — On my mock exams, I lost points every time I changed an answer. If your first choice is based on reasoning, don't switch it because of doubt. Time management — I set milestones: Q50 by 1 hour, Q100 by 2 hours. This kept me from rushing at the end. I finished with plenty of time. Study approach — I used practice questions to identify patterns in my mistakes, not just to memorize content. Knowing WHY you got something wrong matters more than knowing the right answer. Tips for exam day: The exam tests whether you can make security DECISIONS, not whether you can recall facts "More security" isn't always the best answer — look for what's proportional and meets ALL the requirements in the question Policy/governance before technology. Assessment before implementation. Root cause fix before compensating controls. Don't panic if questions feel hard — the CAT adapts. Hard questions mean you're doing well.
