Nate, this is such an important question. And first: no, I don’t believe that once you “open Pandora’s box” you have to keep processing until everything is finished. Sometimes the next level of healing is actually learning how to stop working on yourself. If you have been doing SE and intentionally feeling into the body almost every day for nine months, it makes complete sense that part of you is saying, “I’m tired. I just want to live now.” I would listen to that. One of the frameworks we teach inside Earth 2.0 is ME – WE – BE, together with Wake Up, Clean Up, Power Up, Rest Up. People naturally love the Wake Up, Clean Up and Power Up portions because they feel productive. But Rest Up is not optional. Integration is part of transformation. Everything in nature is cyclical. We can either keep trying to surf against the wave, or we can learn to recognize what season we are actually in physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and relationally. So instead of asking, “How do I process everything that is coming up?” I would experiment with a different question: “What would make my system feel safe enough to simply live today?” You don’t necessarily need to suppress what you feel. You can notice, “Yes, this sensation is here,” without turning it into another 45-minute healing session. Acknowledge it, breathe, orient to the room, feel your feet, and then deliberately place your attention back into life: cooking, laughing, walking, relationships, music, nature, creating something. Sometimes healing is allowing the body to discover that life exists outside of healing. Something that completely changed my own life is what I call UNHOOKING: - Daily: 30–60 minutes for yourself. Ideally before notifications. Silence, nature, breath, meditation, visualization, journaling. Ask: How am I? What do I need? What kind of day am I creating? - Weekly: Take a real day off when possible. Get away from the phone, constant information and stimulation. Nature, forest, ocean, people you love. Let your nervous system remember what life feels like without constantly consuming or achieving. - Monthly: Take a few days to zoom out. Look at the month behind you and the month ahead. What is working? What is draining me? What needs to change? Where am I forcing something whose season may already be over? - Yearly: Remove yourself from your normal environment for a deeper reset. For me personally, this has included very intensive periods of darkness and solitude, but it absolutely does not need to look like that. It can be a retreat, vacation, hiking trip, silence, a new country, or simply enough time away that you can see your own patterns from the outside again.
