Devotional: Endurance Before Authority
Reflection: What would it look like to let endurance “finish its work” instead of rushing relief or escape? James doesn’t sugarcoat the call. If you feel called to build the Kingdom, to lead, to govern, to carry authority—you will need endurance. Trials are not interruptions to the call. They are the training ground. James 1:2–8 reminds us that endurance isn’t optional. It’s produced through testing, and it must be allowed to finish its work. Why? Because maturity precedes authority. Endurance produces a faith that is complete, grounded, and lacking nothing. So many want the title. The platform. The elevation. But Scripture shows us that increased authority attracts increased opposition. We saw it in Acts. The moment the apostles began walking in authority, persecution followed. Not because they were doing something wrong—but because they were doing something right. James warns us about being double-minded. Divided faith. Half-trust. Partial obedience. And he’s clear: a double-minded person is unstable and should not expect to receive from God. Unbelief is often the quiet thief of authority. Endurance builds mature faith. Mature faith produces stability. Stability makes room for governance. Let endurance have its full effect. God isn’t just strengthening you—He’s preparing you to carry what you’ve been praying for.

Abba Father, Lord God Almighty, thank You for clarity on that when experiencing a variety of trails and levels of intensity this living proof to WALK IN MY AUTHORITY in Jesus and REST knowing that You are with me, supplying my needs as You hold my life and times in Your gracious and capable hands, You are perfecting my consistency in You, the mind of Christ to interpret the situations as I lean into You for courage, strength, wisdom, discernment. Lord I give You my YesSss, Holy Spirit I am weary and tired YET I choose to trust in You and I choose REST knowing I am not alone OR forgotten. Lord, I ask for Your resolve to be mature and not lack anything as I am Your daughter and I live in Your open Heaven where I am protected, guarded, seen, heard, cared for, embraced and respected and loved by You, the Maker of the Heavens and Earth. Lord I stand because of You. Lord, forgive me for wishy washy’ness when the reality doesn’t feel good and my strength is spent. Lord, as I come to the end of myself, I still choose You. I still ask for forgiveness for my resentment and forgiveness for my doubt and forgiveness for hardness of heart because of the intensity. I refuse shame and bitterness and I choose to continue to allow Your purification of my heart, my beliefs and renewing of my mind and maturing of my faith, my personal intimate faith with You and my faith in You that I will not lack any good thing as You are my Father, Lord God Almighty…my Good Good Father. I need You alone Lord. I choose to want You. I humbly present myself into Your hands. Lord, have Your way, I need this understanding to mature in me, Abba forgive me as I once again present myself as I choose to receive Your process, Lord strengthen me with You, Holy Spirit, my Comfort and Friend, help me to pass through and be made whole…in Jesus Amen

Stop and Reflect: Adverse Childhood Experiences
Course: Healing and Leadership Module: Wounds That Whisper 🌱 1. Which ACE or community challenge resonates most with your personal story? Reflect on the patterns or environments that shaped your early experiences. - Were there seasons of instability, neglect, or emotional absence that still echo in how you show up for others today? - Did you grow up needing to perform for love, stay quiet to stay safe, or take care of others before yourself? - What messages did you internalize about worth, safety, or identity because of those early experiences? 🕯️ Pause and name it — not to relive it, but to recognize it. Awareness is the first step toward healing. 🌾 2. How has it shaped your leadership or decision-making? Consider how those formative experiences show up in your adult life — especially in your leadership. - Do you tend to overextend yourself because rest once felt unsafe or unearned? - Do you struggle to trust others, believing you have to do everything on your own? - Do you avoid conflict, crave control, or feel a deep fear of failure or rejection? - How do you respond when others disappoint you — with grace, or with the same pressure you once f
