How’s the weather where you are?
We got 14 eggs for the first time in forever the other day. Now getting a decent amount since the weather has warmed a tad. Much better than the 1-2 we were getting! Def looking forward to more spring weather and it’s warming up quick here in Texas. Hope you’re all starting to see some spring come your way!

It was almost 80 here today in North AL. I have to prune this week!! 😬
Coop plants
I bought some lemon balm seed today to plant around my coop. Does anyone have experience with this plant around the coop? I am hoping to deter rodents. I couldn’t find mint on the seed rack.

I grow it and made some pretty strong tea one day and took the longest nap that afternoon. I didn't realize how strong the calming affects would be. I totally passed out!
Drop your favorite chicken treat that isn’t the obvious stuff.

Mine love all things compost, but really like the occasional sunflower seeds and corn on the cob.
How often do you really clean the coop? 😅
No shame. We’re among friends.

I generally do it monthly unless it's too funky. I keep the nesting boxes clean daily though. I'll put in diatomaceous earth every few months too.

I need a better way to get my chickens put up at night, like a door on a timer. I'm forever stressing out how to get home in time to lock them up if my family isn't home to do it. I lost my littlest girl the other night because my husband couldn't find her. 😔

@Jen Rimkus yes, I've seen those, but how can you be sure they all go in in time?
